Radio New Zealand is spying on you. In closed online forums to which RNZ has 'gained access', people are discussing how to avoid scanning in, and say they have been using fake names and phone numbers.
These people are reported by RNZ as saying if scanning's made mandatory they will continue, and Ardern,Little&Co's new rules are powerless to stop them.
Don't bother, people! Scanning or signing in will not be mandatory. What's mandatory is that businesses and events have record keeping available for visitors.
"If someone refuses to scan in, there is no expectation or requirement that businesses or locations should force a customer or visitor to scan in or provide their details for contact tracing purposes," a spokesperson for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet said.
So, faithful Catholics, if and when Cardinal Dew allows Mass to be celebrated once again, you don't have to scan or sign in, and the poor 'welcomer' or whatever can't try to browbeat or shame you into it.
"Businesses and locations are also not required or expected to turn people away who may refuse to make a record of their visit."
Businesses will not be punished if people do not sign in.
So Father can't say resisters are causing the Church to be pinged. They're not.
The changes cover a huge range of businesses and services such as cafes, restaurants, barbers, resthomes, courts and libraries.
And churches, which don't rate with RNZ. But surely Maori churches, which you'd think were ideologically acceptable to RNZ, should get a mention?

Vaccines and mask use* are common topics, but mandatory contact tracing is now in their sight lines.

"If individuals choose to provide false contact information, they are directly jeopardising the ability for contact tracing to occur quickly and accurately. This could put their health and the health of others at risk," the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet ttPMC spokesperson said.
A DPMC. That's new, isn't it? More bureaucracy and propaganda to give power to Ardern's mighty elbow.

"We ask that everyone do their bit to support shops, services, cafes, restaurants and venues - and the staff working at these places.
In other words, if you don't sign or scan in, you're a horrid person who doesn't care if all the staff drop dead from COVID. How hypocritical. It's Ardern,Little&Co, Death Dealers to the nation, whose lockdowns are destroying shops, services, cafes and venues.
"Contact tracing is one of the strongest tools we have to stop the spread of Covid-19, minimise lockdowns and keep friends and whānau safe."
Which only goes to show that refusing to provide contact details is one of the strongest tools Joe Public has for resisting and sabotaging Ardern, Little&Co's totalitarian Covid plandemic.
Police have a number of tools to monitor groups on social media, like the ones RNZ has gained access to.
They would not reveal what kind of monitoring is happening over Covid-19 issues.

A police spokesperson did say providing false information to a medical officer of health could be an offence which may lead to a prosecution, but writing false details in a contact tracing book does not reach that level.
Well, not yet. But who can say Ardern will enact new legislation to say providing false info in a contact tracing book may lead to a prosecution?
"Entering accurate personal information in a contact tracing book is, in practical terms, based on good faith and voluntary cooperation," they said.
Better faith - the best faith - is faith in Almighty God, Who does not require that in order to enter His house or attend Mass we should surrender our personal contact details to an evil, neo-Nazi Government, but Who does command that we honour the Sabbath Day.
"To provide false details in a contact record book is to place the person giving those details, and to friends and whānau, at risk of being unaware of contact with a deadly virus, and unaware of the risk they in turn could pose to others."
A virus so deadly, it's killed 27 people. A virus that's not nearly so deadly as crossing the street.
If people do enter false information into contact record books, Ministry of Health officials have other means to try and track contacts, but it is much harder and takes far longer.
Diddums. If it's much harder and takes far longer it might keep MOH officials from gathering data for use in killing babies. Sabotage! Resistance!

Strangulation - section 189A Crimes Act
The new section 189A in the Crimes Act introduces the offence of strangulation.
The offence is defined as "...who intentionally or recklessly impedes another person's normal breathing, blood circulation, or both, by doing (manually, or using any aid) all or any of the following:
(a) blocking that other persons' nose, mouth, or both;
(b) applying pressure on, or to, that other person's throat, neck, or both."
Would this not indicate a legal argument could be made against mandatory masking?
The Government has quietly made it more difficult to get a mask exemption card, with Kiwis now required to apply through a disability organisation amid concerns they were being misused.
Under all COVID-19 alert levels, masks are required to be worn in certain settings. But there are exceptions - children under the age of 12 don't have to wear a mask, nor those with illnesses, conditions or disabilities that make the wearing of one unsuitable.
For these people, the Government produced a mask exemption card which allows them not to comply with the COVID-19 requirement to wear a face covering.
A reader of this blog has acquired an exemption card, nicely laminated and inserted in a pin-on brooch. She hasn't had to use it. She simply says, with a smile, "I have an exemption." Legal opinion is that you are not required to state the reason for your exemption, or produce any such card. Resist!
JUST A WEEK AGO, A WOMAN WAS CAUGHT NOT WEARING A MASK AT AN AUCKLAND SUPERMARKET AND ALLEGEDLY PRODUCED A FORGED MASK EXEMPTION DOCUMENT TO A POLICE OFFICER.

Until as recently as August 21 - just days after the most recent COVID-19 outbreak was detected - web archives show the Unite Against COVID-19 website had a link to download a PDF of the mask exemption card from the Disabled Persons Assembly (DPA). However this link was quietly removed at some point in the following days, with Kiwis now required to call or email the DPA directly for a copy of the card. Kiwis now have to convince the organisation they have a relevant disability or condition, or they won't be provided with one.
Find someone - perhaps a reader of this blog - who has one and copy it. But legally you don't have to produce it. .
