For a while there, we hoped Stalinda had gone. After a huge howl of protest on Saturday - 10k in Auckland (NZ Herald said 5k; one muppet said, "why wouldn't you believe the Herald?") - she vanished. She vacated her infamous podium of truth.

But if she had done a bunk (we wish - she's back again but she's changed her tune) she'd have taken a bundle of cash with her. The Forbes rich list puts her personal wealth at $25 million plus.

The international press, who are not on her paylist, are waking up to Ardern.

  1. 25mill? Sounds too high to me. Not even Muldoon had that wealth.

  2. I say:
Too high? You can say that again. The bulk of her wealth comes from her 'private businesses'. Her business is surely the welfare of the people who mistakenly elected her, not money-making.

  3. No. Would need more evidence
Back Bencher salary and PM salary means at the most 8 million.

  4. Proof of 'those private businesses' generating 25 million Julia? Otherwise either tittletattle, hearsay, or potentially bordering on the'def' and 'am' word.
