https://nypost.com/2025/02/18/world-news/who-are-the-frontrunners-to-be-elected-next-pontiff-after-pope-francis/ |
"I might not make it this time." So Jorge Bergoglio (stage name Pope Francis) is reported to have told close aides today, as he battles double pneumonia (with most of one lung already long gone).
The Swiss Guard protecting the Pope is reportedy rehearsing his funeral, with members under a curfew as they are 'preparing for the pontiff's death', Swiss newspaper Blick claims. Italy’s state-owned public broadcaster is reportedly preparing for an “extraordinary edition” as speculation around the Pope’s health grows.
God may be wanting his covenant sign back |
ROME — Pope Francis is seriously worried about his health after being hospitalized with severe bronchitis, and is rushing to tie up loose ends ahead of the battle to succeed him.
Francis then |
According to two people familiar with the matter, Francis has been suffering from intense pain and has privately expressed certainty he won’t make it this time. On Sunday, doctors at Gemelli distressed the pope by barring him from delivering his regular morning Angelus sermon, which he has rarely missed, even when hospitalized, said one of the people and a third person. He is now acting entirely on “doctors’ orders,” said one..
The pope initially resisted going to hospital but was told in no uncertain terms that he was at risk of dying if he stayed in his room in the Vatican, the second person added.
Francis now |
As his health has deteriorated over the last month, Francis has also moved to complete key initiatives and appoint sympathetic figures to key posts, following a progressive-tinted papacy marked by bitter ideological divisions.
Since he became pope in 2013, Francis has aimed to make the Church more inclusive, opening up key roles to women and LGBT+ people. While that has provoked furious reaction from many conservatives, liberals complain that the reforms have been insufficient. Meanwhile, the pope’s efforts to put an end to rampant child abuse by clerics have produced mixed results.
Papal succession will be political
On February 6, before he was hospitalized, he extended the term of the Italian cardinal Giovanni Battista Re as dean of the College of Cardinals, a role that will oversee some preparations for a potential conclave, the secretive gathering that determines the selection of a new pope. The move, which controversially sidestepped a scheduled vote on the next dean by top cardinals, was intended to ensure that the process plays out according to Francis’s wishes, the people said.
Re, a longtime Vatican operator, is too old to participate in the conclave himself. Nevertheless, he will be a pivotal figure in the behind-closed-doors discussions that often take place before the conclave. That Francis selected him as dean instead of a younger candidate suggests he wanted to keep a friendly face in the role who would defend his legacy, said one of the people.
“The run-up to the conclave is more important as that’s where lobbying goes on,” the person said.
Ahead of the 2013 conclave that elected him pope (illegally - ed), Francis himself reportedly benefitted from the influence of a group of cardinals (the St Gallen Mafia - ed) who were too old to participate in the proceedings but nevertheless held sway over the outcome.
Re’s continuation in the role will also see him deliver funeral rites for Francis should he die. The pope has privately joked that Re will be “kinder” to him than other candidates, a second person added.
The Holy See’s press office declined to comment.
The goddess Pachamama worshipped by Bergoglio in the Vatican |
Before his health took a turn for the worse, Francis was navigating a politically sensitive moment. Earlier this month, he issued an extraordinary rebuke of United States Vice President JD Vance’s characterization of Ordo Amoris, a theological concept relating to love that Vance used to justify President Donald Trump’s migrant policy. The papal pushback triggered fury from the White House, raising the prospect of a highly politicized succession battle should Francis die.
“They’ve already influenced European politics, they’d have no problem influencing the conclave,” said one close observer of Vatican politics, referring to the Trump administration. “They might be looking for someone less confrontational.”
ReplyDeleteCANNOT LOOK AT THESE DEMONS SORRY MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL
ReplyDeleteWe need to pray for all of God's shepherds - for the faithful to remain strong and for the failing to come to know the Truth and give themselves in full to God.
ReplyDeleteCardinal Burke! We pray!!
ReplyDeletePray for the victims of this pope all excommunicated Priests who dared to speak truth to power
ReplyDeleteI pick vigano
DeleteLisa Christenson He is too old. Usually it’s only Cardinals under 80 who are eligible to vote.
ReplyDeleteCorrection please,Pope Benedict XVl is the last true pope.the present Pope is a false pope.and he will be a close ally of the antichrist.
ReplyDelete·
He already selected 13 radical Cardinals that follows his agenda. We need conservative and Cardinals that follow the Commandments of God. Let’s pray
ReplyDeleteYou guys have to be careful and don't judge anyone
Kelvin Stringer you're right, we may not judge anyone but we must judge their deeds.
Delete
DeleteJulia du Fresne But you cannot judge others if you have sin on your soul.I am a sinner..... are you a sinner ?
Kelvin Stringer NO ONE may judge another because as you imply, we are all sinners. There's a crucial difference between judging deeds and judging the doers of those deeds. We must do the former and not the latter.

ReplyDeleteHe is manipulated by the secret society. The Book of Truth foretold about his fake death and will rise from the dead. Let us pray for conversion to true faith and for his soul, not to his intention to destroy the Church.
ReplyDeletePraying for a good, holy pope who is going to feed and save our souls. 🙏
ReplyDeleteYou are out of your mind. I am not a fan of Pope Francis, but slandering the Holy Father is evil.
He repeatedly said that abortion is like hiring a hitman to kill one's own child.
Calls to pray for him are what a proper Christian ought to do.
I absolutely recommend you go to confession and believe that the Holy Spirit will put His Church on the right track and that Pope Francis was elected for a Good reason.
ReplyDeleteHe will survive as he is the false prophet of the book of Revelations and hence attracts the provisions of Revelations 19 : 20 and 20 : 10.
He has a lot of work to do in further deceiving us.
Queen and Mother of the Last Times Snatch us out of the clutches of Evil 😈
ReplyDeleteRobert Sarah
ReplyDeleteThe next front runners SHOULD be Cardinal Sarah, Abp. Vigano, Bishop Strickland, or Father Altman 🙏🏼

Clara Cembalisty thank you for drawing this to our attention. Very pertinent.

ReplyDeletePlease pray for him 🙏💔
ReplyDeleteWho cares, most of them are pedos
ReplyDeleteIsn't he the 'Last' pope ? if you follow the prophesies..and the world IS changing.
Joe Biden believes he's the best candidate
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteSo who is their next Communist pick?
DeleteRichard Pykett they say the CIA's pick is Fernandez.
ReplyDeleteThe papacy is not Christian.
The current ailing pope has promoted some disgusting ideas. Being a Jesuit it’s not hugely surprising. They are distinctly one of the most anti Christian groups in existence
Leighton Stringer it would help if you got your head around the fact that we're not talking about the papacy. Bergoglio is not and never has been the pope. And have you any idea of the history of the Jesuits? Under St Ignatius Loyola they christianized Japan, China, India, and America.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThere's a Maori land claim in for the Vatican
ReplyDeleteThe next one is more satanic
ReplyDeleteEverything is fake about those accusations. What is not fake is the evil intentions of those falsely labelling themselves as Catholics, though forever anti- Catholic & anti- Church !
ReplyDeleteInmy heart francis needs alot of prayers. He is not following Gods words and he will be helded accountable.he is in Gods hands now .
ReplyDeletePlease stop this nonsense fake post degrading the good name of our Holy father. If your intention is to destroy the Catholic Church, you will never win because the Catholic Catholic is founded by Jesus himself. If you are a Catholic as you seem to portray, then stop sowing discord and mislead the faithful.
ReplyDeleteE isn't gone yet
ReplyDeleteJulia you are the devol
ReplyDeleteIf that's the pope I'll eat my hat. That's a fat double pope.
ReplyDeleteWe don't need another pedo running it.
ReplyDeleteNo cross will save him ! Fat pompous thing ! There will be justice done if not in this life then the life after ! What you reap so you sow !!
Stephen Wilton you fail to take into account our hope and prayers for his repentance and consequently his saving by the Cross of Christ.

ReplyDeleteIt’s going to be very, very, very hot where is going … 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Sherryle Lee not if he repents and converts to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
DeleteJulia du Fresne NO - He needs to repent DIRECTLY to our Lord Jesus Christ.
DeleteSherryle Lee yes he does; through His minister, a priest of His Church.
Delete
DeleteJulia du Fresne Try reading the New King James translation?
DeleteJulia du Fresne "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV
Sherryle Lee exactly. "By me", Who founded My Church and appointed My disciples to teach the Gospel. Immediately. RIght after Pentecost. Not to wait for 1500 years for a mad German monk to do it.
DeleteRobert Hooker well of course I've seen the KJV but why should I use it? Douay-Rheims was completed in 1609, making it older than the KJV, which was not published until 1611. The King James Bible omits the so—called deutero-canonical books of the Old Testament, while the Douay Version, faithful to its Catholic principles, includes all the books enumerated in the canon of the Council of Trent. In other words, the Protestant Bible omits Tobias, Judith, the Book of Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, both books of the Maccabees, parts of Esther and Daniel. Why on earth should I prefer the KJV?
DeleteSherryle Lee yes and he does; through His minister, a priest of His Church.
Delete
DeleteJulia du Fresne Luther was not mad, he was scriptural correct, unlike Catholicism, which now endorses gay ministers, which is definitely not scriptural! The list goes on! Luther found 99
controversial doctrines! Christ has full authority, not any church run by sinful men, intent on money making!
Robert Hooker Luther also 'lost' 7 books of the Bible ....
Delete"Mad' might be an exaggeration but today’s medical and psychological advances would likely point to certain defects in Luther's mental and emotional state which led him to the violent mood swings that affected him.
Christ is in heaven. He needs men on earth to do His work so He delegated full authority to His Church. "Thou are Peter and upon this rock I will build My Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it."
You must surely see that it is the Bergoglian sect which has 'so many problems'" (to put it mildly); I defend the Catholic hierarchy who are faithful to Christ's Gospel, Church and Magisterium.
And I have to inform you that the Church never sold indulgences. That is simply a Protestant myth in defence of Luther's demolition of Christ's Mystical Body which proves that when you tell a big enough lie oflen enough people will come to believe it.
ReplyDeleteWe need a REAL Pope! A traditional Catholic Pope!
ReplyDeletePlease pray for a conservative CATHOLIC Pope to be elected!
I’m still praying for Francis with his pneumonia struggle
DeleteKenny Skellie I pray for Gods will to be done. God ways are not our ways.
DeleteKenny Skellie the next guy will be the literal son of Satan, the AntiChrist and he and Bergoglio are planning their Muslim -PseudoChristian meeting later this year. Pray, pray, pray to God and Mary to quash their plans.
ReplyDeleteLet’s all pray intensely for a good and holy pope.
ReplyDeleteLike every pope before Francis. God will have the final say. God allowed Francis to be pope for a reason. And God doesn't owe us a reason. For God is God and we are NOT!
DeletePatrick Hynes Except that Francis is not a pope. To claim him as pope is to malign God's Holy Spirit.
ReplyDeleteIt's a ploy to fake he is on deaths door and by some miracle he comes out and like Satan will deceive the lukewarm into following him further..
ReplyDeleteSounds like he will need more than prayers for where he's going if he doesn't make it.
Paul Britton no prayers can ever avail anyone in hell.
Delete
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't pray for this......., even for a $Mill
Annie Aspinall "Do good to your enemies ... pray for those who persecute and calumniate you."

ReplyDeleteHe's evil.
ReplyDeleteElt Tower there is no book of truth...!! Apart from the bible..
Elt Tower
ReplyDeleteElisabeth Biasi Read the Daniel 10;20-21
ReplyDeleteElisabeth Biasi https://www.facebook.com/share/15hs5gfqyK/
ReplyDeleteElisabeth Biasi you are mistaken-The Book of Truth is very much of the bible. It is the explanation of the Book of Revelation by GOD not man. PF is the false prophet called out in the Book of Revelation. It is a fact.
ReplyDeleteKaren Ignash not true... Do u not think God had allowed him to he pope...?
Elisabeth Biasi God has allowed many antipopes in the past.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteElt Tower the book of truth has been found to be false. The promoter of this book has been found out to a fraud. Go to it then, see to it, but it is not the book of truth. You will find out that Francis won't be back.
ReplyDeleteMark Steelcross my mission as a remnant army of Jesus Christ is to inform you. If you dont believe the Book its up to you.
ReplyDeleteElisabeth Biasi yes it is true whether you want to believe it or not. God allowed him to be pope. Do you think God created Judas knowing what he was going to do to Jesus. Same thing. Pope Francis is worse then Judas. He is creating a one world religion that does not come from God!
ReplyDeleteKaren Ignash We haven’t had a legitimate pope since Pope Pius XII who died in 1958.
ReplyDeleteNone of the above
ReplyDeleteStage name 🙄can’t read past the disrespect of the office sorry
Mary Beth Carley disrespect to what office? Not the Petrine office because Francis is not the pope and never has been. His performance since his rigged, illicit election has been sheer theatre. BAD theatre.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThe Church has been infiltrated and it is up to the Laity to force an investigation into the corruption. We need to end the power of the "Deep Church!"
Let's start here...
We need to investigate if the Obama/Biden Administration forced Pope Benedict to resign?
If so, that would make Pope Francis' papalcy NULL & VOID!!!
All of Francis' appointments would also be fraudulent. So, before we have the next conclave, a thorough investigation must take place.
https://youtu.be/X1mjKcj0dlo?si=hmLo_jOiLFsux4sK
Gina Mata I believe there will be an investigation and that Francis will be found to have been illicitly elected. In other words he is not the pope and never has been, ergo you are correct: all his acts as 'pope' are null and void. To believe otherwise is implicitly to insult God the Holy Ghost.https://juliadufresne.blogspot.com/.../francis-is-no-more...
Delete
DeleteJulia du Fresne thank you for sharing this.
I believe the Laity will have to lead this battle bc the Clergy have their hands tied.
We need to start by imploring President Trump and Elon Musk to do this investigation on Obama/Biden. We need to ask Trump to un-classify the records so that the investigation can begin.
ReplyDeleteWe can easily put the crime of treason back on the statutes as it was treason to remove it in the first place, and at the same time we can reintroduce the death penalty for a number of crimes.
There has been so many crimes of treason and corruption that we can void the corrupt deals used in the selling off of New Zealand and the destruction of our economic base.
DeleteRoger Lewis As far as I can ascertain, the crime of treason is still on the books. See the Crimes Act 1961.
ReplyDeleteCardinal Sarah.
Ian Clerget love him.
Delete
DeleteIan Clerget That would be an amazing choice. His age probably says no, but if they could get behind whoever he supports, we would be in a better place.
DeleteJen St Clair You would get Bergoglio in lace. Nothing would change except he would carry out the Amazon Synod goals and give everyone the liturgy they feel good with, including everyone pagan to papist getting their flavor of the day. While the ecclesial revolution advances.
DeleteLeo Horvat Then who?
DeleteWe are Catholics...nothing is impossible with God Mathew 1:23 "Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."
Have confidence. Put in the hands of God and His blessed Mother. It is in this way the miracles of history are worked.
ReplyDeleteMy only wish is that, this time, an actual Catholic is elected.
Delete·
Lynn Johnson
Spoiler alert: We have an actual Catholic there now. 88 years old. More accomplished than you religiously lol.
r
DeleteChikamso Derick he rejects the deposit of faith and he's creating his own religion.
DeleteChikamso Derick he is especially accomplished with the Pacci mama
DeleteLynn Johnson If the person isn't catholic, he isn't able to be elected.
ReplyDeleteChikamso Derick I would say you are just as evil as Bergoglio.
Delete·
Timothy Michael Holden
Average SSPX sedevacantist line lmao.
ReplyDeleteEither Cdl Burke or Cdl Sarah. We need selfless men of God. One who seeks God, not one who wishes to please man.
ReplyDeleteConnie Johnson Unfortunately, Cardinal Burke Nor Sarah do not provide Catholics with anything remotely resembling a traditional Catholic approach to the current ecclesial crisis; In truth, the bishops and cardinals have the duty to proclaim true doctrine in every situation; the present situation calls for something more.
The reason why men like Cardinal Burke and Sarah cannot muster up the gumption to condemn error is simple; they are men-of-the-council – the same that summarily rejected the duty to condemn in favor of dialogue. He is a dedicated supporter of Vatican Council II and its very own make-believe “Saint,” John Paul the Great Ecumenist.
As such, barring conversion, he will never manage to confront the Bergoglian menace in any meaningful way, and it is for this very same reason that he will never contribute to spreading the authentic message of Fatima.
ReplyDeletePlease let the Holy Father rest in peace before speculating on his successor!
DeleteDotty Crispino Tragically, he is not the 'Holy Father' and we must pray for his repentance and conversion or he will never rest in peace. But if God judges him to have sinned against the Holy Spirit he cannot be forgiven.
DeleteJulia du Fresne yes he is.
DeleteTom Newton he’s a member albeit an honourary one of a Masonic organisation, the Buenos Aries rotary club. He’s brought pagan idols into the Vatican, lied about the faith and blasphemed which makes him a heretic and a heretic is not permitted to be the pope. Canon law. Church law. His beliefs are not even catholic. He betrayed the Chinese faithful. He’s more of a communist, a mason and a globalist than a catholic. He even refused the pontifical title of vicar of Christ for heavens sake. If you care about him then pray for his soul because he’s an apostate and traitor who has damaged the church and led many souls astray. He’s in very great danger of an eternity in hell. May God have mercy on his soul
DeleteJune Gallagher Rotary clubs are not Freemasons.
He has done some questionable things I do not doubt that, but so have other popes in the past.
You aren’t an authority to cast judgement on him as to whether he is a heretic. Until that happens, then he is the pope.
DeleteTom Newton any Christian can recognise heresy it’s about education not authority. They were founded by free masons.. they were funded by free masons. I believe that’s sufficient cause to declare them Masonic affiliated organisations.
DeleteTom Newton I believe Rotary is very closely aligned with Freemasons. Certainly the 'Grace Before Meals' I heard when I attended a Rotary meeting was blasphemous and done for laughs. I walked out.
