BUT DOC, YOU'RE PAID TO TELL ME TO TAKE IT

At least a fur coat protects the wearer

During the Covid hoax, a reader of this blog was confronted by her GP in the doorway to his shared practice, dangling a mask. She'd told the receptionist she had an exemption.

"You have no grounds for an exemption!" her doctor declared, loudly, to the edification and delight of a waiting room full of j?bbed sickies.

And now National want to pay this chap and his j?b-inebriated fellow medicos up to $52m to persuade us all to line up for more of the same. Why should we trust these 'health professionals' when by falling for Dr 'Faustus' Fauci and our own 'dear Dr Bloomfield' and pushing this death-dealing injection on Kiwis they've so egregiously sh*t in their own nests?

ACT's David Seymour is another j?b junkie. Winsome Winston Peters, with his consistent anti-mandate position (and not being one of the cowards who lurked in the Beehive during the Parliamentary Protest) is looking more and more like the hand-brake on National or Labour that this country needs.ANANISH CHAUDHURI: Why Winston Peters will be returning to Parliament in October (bassettbrashandhide.com)

Also advancing the 2030 Agenda is the World Economic Forum which Luxon claims he's never heard of - yeah, right

Handing over to the inimitable BFD:

National has announced a plan for when they get the power of the purse: pay doctors up to $52m to persuade Kiwis to get vaccinated.

The Immunisation Incentive Payments scheme would see GP clinics paid a lump sum for achieving immunisation targets, including full immunisation for two-year-olds, MMR vaccines for ages 1-17, and influenza vaccines for ages 65+.

They would have to either achieve 95 percent coverage for their childhood patients, and 75 percent for the flu shots, or achieve a five percentage point increase for each of those target groups, by 30 June 2024 to receive the payment.

The party said it would set aside $52 million for the policy, which it said was the maximum cost if every GP clinic in the country achieved the targets.

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/election-2023/497705/national-announces-its-health-targets-and-an-immunisation-incentive-payment

Here’s the problem. Vaccination incentives and persuasions abounded during Covid, and Kiwis lost trust. It won’t be regained using the same tactics that lost it. Companies use ‘incentive payments’ to motivate their sales force. Persuade more people to buy the product and the bonus is yours, so get out there and sell, sell, sell. We need to be able to trust doctors more than we trust salespeople.

Or National, maybe - who knows the difference, really?

In recent times I have felt sorry for medical professionals. If they did not follow the approved narrative, they could be stood down; no second opinions allowed. The pitch was how dangerous the virus was and how the vaccine was safe and effective. Both were exaggerated and many of us knew it, but the proclamations came with all the certitude of a one-truth state.

Many truth seekers wrote off health professionals as trusted, independent sources of truth about Covid-19 and Covid-19 vaccines. Why pay to hear a doctor read from the government’s mandatory script when it was available on the government’s website for free and proclaimed from the ‘podium of truth’ ad nauseam? The question changed from do I trust my doctor to do I trust the system my doctor is part of? Doctors need to regain their independence.

Ardern and vaccine mandates are gone and Kiwis can surely give a nod to those who spoke up on parliament grounds, but people are still raw and resistance is high. Politicians should watch the movie and hear the people they would not deign to hear before. There are things to learn.

It appears that Luxon hasn’t learned much from Ardern’s political demise. He should note the time that her star began to fall. But no, he plans to incentivise the vaccine sales force. Nothing new here, and it’s not mandated, not yet, but Kiwis are more awake and less trusting.

What will be the response of those wanting trustworthy information? ‘Sorry Doc, you’re paid to say that. I may have to look online.’ What a tragedy if even more people say buzz off to health professionals giving advice because they hear in their voices the buzz of the Beehive.

The doctor-patient relationship relies on trust and that trust has been damaged.

Doctors were paid $75 per j*b.  How many yielded to the temptation to persuade or pressure their patients into taking their potion? The 'better half' of a reader of this blog reported that their mutual GP stated it was "tragic" that she'd refused the needle. (She has since found an anthroposophical GP.)

Politicians of all stripes, hear it loud and hear it clear: You are politicians; we don’t trust you. Please keep your grubby persuasion money away from the sacred relationship between doctor and patient and let it heal.

Doctors, if you want trust to grow, here’s something doable: tell Luxon you won’t take the money. https://thebfd.co.nz/2023/09/14/sorry-doc-youre-paid-to-say-that/

Our Lady of Sorrows, on your feast day please pray for us

  4. my wife had a mask exception issused by the health dept, which is a Govt department. The amount of abuse she received for not wearing one, and producing the exemption notice did not make any difference. Contacted the health Dept, and there excuse was that it is up to the individual business houses, banks to chose whether to accept the exemption card. I quieried this and was told that the Labour govt had amended a particular clause within the health laws so that business houses etc could refuse the exemption notice. So we if we go down this path of another lockdown and have masks or an exemption, the govt will treat you as piece of crap. Deny responsibility.

    1. Yes, the government whose first duty is to protect its people.
PS: The one and only time I wore a mask was when I suppose I was in shock, needing an X-ray for a badly broken wrist, and my husband who's ultra-submissive to govt directives told me I must wear it. And I found an anthroposophical GP.

    2. When a govt denies responsibility for its citizens, then the govt is corrupt. It actually reminded me of the history of Germany, 1933 to 1939.

  5. Many Doctors lost credibility over recent years...deservedly so.

  6. Posted elsewhere but is deserving of being shared everywhere:
My 9 year old son came home upset on Friday. Told me it's "Maori Language Week" at his School on Monday (tomorrow) and doesn't want to go because he doesn't see why he needs to be speaking Maori when our family are not Maori.
This has gone over and over in my head all weekend.
I went to school in the 90s and we learnt Maori songs, numbers, days of the week, colors and basic words, at High School it was a compulsory subject in form 1&2 (year 7&8) and an optional subject after that. I can honestly say that after 10 years in hospitality & 9 years in Healthcare I have NEVER had to apply ANY Maori in ANY of my jobs or day to day life!! It has never put any food on our table.
I've decided my son will come to work with me this week and he can learn some LIFE skills that will benefit him in future rather than this BS that he doesn't understand...and I will be emailing the Principal tonight and telling her exactly that!
Nothing against anyone who practices their own culture, it's their right and should be respected but it should not be FORCED on other people ....that goes against our rights

    1. I think you might find that Maori were forced back in the day to speak English and were not allowed to speak their own language. So i guess your argument doesn't cut it really. Secondly, it is a well known fact that that children pick up languages easier as opposed to older kids/adults. Thirdly, when a child learns another language it helps them to learn other laguages easier as well. I think you might be robbing your child of some good learning by tacking him out of class for the week.
I would be interested to know if you do the same thing when the school is telling your child they can choose the sex fhey want to be along with giving themselves a new name, all without telling you. Check out what your school is teaching your child, i guarantee its far worse than your child getting to learn another language.

  7. Sharon, you know very well that it was the Maori leaders and parents who wanted their children to learn English fluently so as to be able to succeed. Thus, they wanted only English spoken at school. Maoris were never stopped from speaking Maori elsewhere, especially at home.

  8. There are vaccines that I would be happy to have, those that are tested, effective and safe. The covid vaccine was mostly none of these, it was pushed at us to make Ardern look like the hero who would save us all from certain death, and so further increase her political power. The people found Ardern out, and soon she was gone.

Our Catholic bishops jumped on the same vaccine bandwagon, they owe us an apology. When our church hierarchy gets into areas where they have no authority or expertise they make horrendous mistakes. They continue to make horrendous mistakes in the areas of social justice and climate change, to name a few. I expect the synod of synodality will be their biggest mistake.

  9. This doesn't refer to anything to do with covid vaccines. Health care has always funded in targets... Ensuring childhood vaccines (measles, hpv and meningococcal for example, are still prevalent in nz) , cardiovascular risk assessments, annual diabetic reviews, cervical screening etc are all done... Is it not good that there is accountability that healthcare providers meet targets for the services they provide and get funding for? Covid has never been a percentage target.. Nor is it referenced here?

  12. Re ‘Doctors, if you want trust to grow, here’s something doable: tell Luxon you won’t take the money’ is likely to fall on deaf ears. It would take a concerted effort from ALL doctors to reject a government dictate – an unlikely situation, from our past experience.

We know too how the government is prepared to forcefully treat genuine protesters. With that in mind, the doctors would need the support of the whole population to be able to make any impact at all, I’m thinking.

  13. Completely off the ball, but I saw a recent Taxpayers' Union poll result that told us 24% of our citizens oppose co-governance, but 24% of our citizens approve it. God, help us, please !!
