BAD ART, WORSE POPE, GOOD FRIDAY

The Vatican illustrates the Solemnity of St Joseph with a work by the disgraced Fr Rupnik

With today's Vigil of Palm Sunday the Church opens the door to Holy Week. Through it we glimpse Good Friday, its suffering and unspeakable sorrow; but how can a faithful Catholic attend that ceremony celebrated in the Novus Ordo, under the auspices of the usurper pope, Francis?

Just last week the Vatican illustrated the Solemnity of St Joseph, Patron and Guardian of the Church, with a work by the excommunicated-then-unexcommunicated serial sex offender Fr Marko Rupnik (olim Fr Rupnik SJ). +Rupnik was convicted in a canonical trial of violating the confessional by absolving an Italian novice with whom he'd had sexual relations. Around the time of his conviction Francis invited this man to preach the Lenten homilies at the Vatican..https://ewtn.co.uk/article-the-father-rupnik-case-a-timeline/

+Rupnik's work still adorns the shrines of Lourdes and Fatima and more of the same will be unveiled at the Sanctuary of Aparecida - for Mothers' Day, this year. So Francis, not content with insulting St Joseph, the universal Patron of fathers, now insults Our Lady too. https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2024/03/19/why-is-the-vatican-still-featuring-artwork-by-disgraced-rupnik/

The N O insults and blasphemy are not confined to the great shrines of the Church, or to the Mother of God and His foster-father. Oh, no. In Passion Week God Himself was insulted by a parody of His Way of the Cross at Sacred Heart, Hastings, where the foyer was dominated by a display of the 'Stations of the Forest' - the 'First Station' being 'The forests is Condemned to Death'. You get the idea. A reader of this blog posted the pic (below) on the Catholic bishops' FB page 4 days ago but it seems that to them such blasphemy is quite unremarkable. This is the ideologue Francis' obsession with climate change carried to its obvious conclusion by indoctrinating children. It were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should scandalize one of these little ones (Lk 17,2).

It was comforting though, in the Sacred Heart church - which has no tabernacle, where the elderly 'Eucharistic Minister' has to bustle noisily many, many metres up the bare, raked (ugh!) floor to repose the Blessed Sacrament after Mass in a chapel - to see that all the statues and crucifixes were veiled as they should be, for Passion Week. That's not the case in all the churches in Palmerston North Diocese.

The fake Pope Francis shows contempt not only for the Holy Family but for orthodox priests and lay people who are battle-fatigued and punch-drunk by now from the continual assaults on their Catholic faith made by the hierarchy, the most egregious perhaps (hard to choose!) being Cardinal 'Tucho' Fernandez' Fiducia Supplicans. Yesterday a reader of this blog spotted FS in her church foyer. Written by the man appointed by Francis as chief watchdog over Church doctrine at the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) - following his previous employment in writing soft porn - it's on view presumably for the delectation and delight of parishioners who have the stomach for its pages of confused and confusing meanderings on "the possibility of blessing couples in irregular situations and same-sex couples" (i.e. sodomites).

The day after FS appears, Fr James Martin SJ proceeds with his dirty work

The 'kissing bishop' appointed by Francis to be watchdog for the Faith

It's not so long since the pretender pope was directing all Catholics everywhere to take an abortion-tainted experimental gene serum being touted by his globalist friends and NZ's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, in the interests of global depopulation. He said taking the jab was "a moral obligation" and "an act of love".  Falsely obedient Catholics swallowed it hook line and sinker. Those who resisted were few. In one parish the only hold-out had to attend Mass sequestered from the 'faithful', including husband and family.

Not so long ago - but long enough for many to realise, as they and//or friends sicken and even 'die suddenly' that they've been cruelly deceived. There are 700,000 more people with long term sickness in Britain today than there were in 2021 when the Covid 'v^ccine' was rolled out.. The number of the long-term sick has risen from 2.1 million pre-pandemic to 2.8 million today. This huge increase started in spring 2021, at the same time as the roll-out of the experimental, emergency-use v^ccines.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hxoa8AYztNE

And yet:

Pope Francis has issued fresh condemnation of critics of the abortion-tainted COVID-19 injections, saying that opposition to the shots “distressed” him since “being against the antidote is an almost suicidal act of denial.”https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-francis-denounces-anti-vaxxers-calls-covid-jab-refusal-an-almost-suicidal-act-of-denial/?utm_source=digest-prolife-2024-03-22&utm_medium=email

Like New Zealand's judges only much more so, Francis needs to stay in his lane. It's not the body he's ordained to care for, it's the soul.  Millions of his flock are starving to death - eternal death - and he bangs on and on and on about the v^ccine that wasn't, and 'climate change' which is actually God's chastisement, brought about largely by the Catholic Church and especially Francis' appalling neglect of the spiritual welfare of the flock of Christ. It looks horribly like the man who occupies the seat of Peter in Rome - the leader of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church - may have millions of deaths on his conscience.

It would surely be charitable to put this incredible scenario down to demonic possession or influence: that the "smoke of Satan" detected even by the architect of the Novus Ordo, 'Saint' Pope Paul VI, has permeated the entire Mystical Body of Christ. Is there a more plausible explanation for the cognitive dissonance of millions of faithful laity, bishops and priests who took the Jab and are now in a state of denial?

Anyway, Eric Sammons, editor-in-chief of Crisis Magazine, has had enough of this papacy and he believes most Catholics feel the same way (vide the rejection of Fiducia Supplicans as cultural colonialism by African, Hungarian and Eastern European bishops' conference.

Which reminds us that on the issue of breaking with millennia-old Church doctrine on the seriously sinful nature of sodomy, New Zealand's bishops are staying shtum. They have no guidance to offer the faithful. They appear to cling to the notion that all we want from them or our priests is comforting non-catechesis, homilies which Cardinal St John Henry Newman characterised back in his day as "cordial" (as in the sweet drink we sucked up as kids).

To Eric Sammons of Crisis Magazine, then:

Ideology is not the same thing as religion. Most religions, even though often wrong about many things, seek to better the person practicing it; they have similar moral codes, which typically include kindness to those less fortunate and decency toward others. Ideology, on the other hand, cares little for individual persons and focuses completely on the goals of The Cause. Things like kindness and decency are jettisoned in pursuit of those goals. Think of the difference between a Quaker and a Communist: which would you rather have as a neighbor?

I bring this up because of the recently released memoirs of Pope Francis. At one point in the included interviews, the subject of the Covid vaccines came up. I’m not here to re-litigate either the morality and effectiveness of the vaccines. We covered this topic in-depth here at Crisis, and to be honest, what we said back then has turned out to be completely true. In short, the vaccines were tainted with abortion and the morality of taking them was at the very least questionable. No one was morally required to receive the vaccines, as even the Vatican acknowledged. As to effectiveness, only the most hard-core ideologues still think the vaccines were able to stop or even substantially slow the spread of Covid. People of good will now recognize the vaccines at best simply lessened the symptoms in some people, and at worst caused more injuries than they prevented.

Sadly, Pope Francis appears to be one of those hard-core ideologues, not a person of good will. And like most ideologues, he is happy to deny reality and to demean and disparage any who might disagree with him. He stated that “being against the antidote [the Covid vaccines] is an almost suicidal act of denial.” Considering the fact that there is absolutely no evidence that the Covid vaccines prevented deaths on any significant scale (and likely caused deaths in some who took them), this statement is itself an “act of denial:” a denial of reality. But this is the way of the ideologue: reality and facts don’t matter; all that matters is The Cause.

But it gets worse. Francis then made a veiled—and disgraceful—comment about Cardinal Raymond Burke, who opposed the vaccines and almost died of Covid. The pope said, “There were even a few anti-vaxxers among the bishops: some came close to death.” This was the second time Francis made such a jab at Cardinal Burke. He describes Burke as an “anti-vaxxer” when he knows that neither the Cardinal nor most opponents of the Covid vaccines were against all vaccines, and he implies that Burke almost died because he didn’t get the vaccine when those who didn’t get vaccinated didn’t have higher death rates than those who did get vaxed.

To be honest, my first thought upon reading the pope’s comments was, “Is he really so petty?” Not only are his statements not very Christian, they are not even decent. I wouldn’t expect such a low remark from a good-natured atheist, much less a Catholic, much less the leader of the Catholic Church. Even if the pope were right about the effectiveness of the vaccine (but again, he isn’t), to treat someone’s serious illness as a means to promote one’s viewpoint is despicable.

Unfortunately, though, we’ve come to expect this from our current leader. Like the ideologue he is, Pope Francis treats his perceived enemies with contempt. It’s no secret the pope doesn’t like Cardinal Burke and so he is an obstacle to be overcome in Francis’s drive to achieve his goals. What’s amazing is how much both the mainstream and Catholic media still carry water for Francis, claiming he’s about “mercy.” Perhaps for those who don’t dare raise their voices against his Program, but not to any who put the Faith (or medical safety) before obeisance to the Pope’s Program.

While this behavior from the Supreme Pontiff is disappointing and discouraging, it’s no longer surprising. Just yesterday the Vatican News website featured an image created by the monster Fr. Marko Rupnik on the front page. This is a man who has done such horrific and blasphemous acts I don’t want to even list them here. Yet Pope Francis’s Vatican has such contempt for Rupnik’s victims that they still treat the disgraced priest with respect and even admiration. Why? Because Rupnik has been an ideological friend, and ideologues are as forgiving of their friends as they are ruthless to their enemies.

I realize bad news related to Pope Francis has, at this point, become wearying. We don’t cover every single uncharitable act or confusing statement made by Francis. Yet it is important to periodically note that, like some popes before him, this pope is not a good man, much less a good pope.

As we near the end of Lent, let us offer prayers and penances for Holy Mother Church, and pray that she be blessed with a good and holy pope, or even a decent one, very soon. Have You No Decency, Holy Father? - Crisis Magazine

Of course she was a virgin until after she had the baby? Does anyone believe in the fable that surrounded this birth and conception?

    2. If by "those days" you mean the beginnings of Christianity, remember that those people witnessed the miracles wrought by Christ - such as raising people from the dead - and concluded on the evidence of their own eyes and ears (like the centurion and others present at His crucifixion) that He was indeed the Son of God.

    3. It must have escaped your notice that 1.738 billion Catholics profess this belief in the virginity of Mary who remained a virgin after the birth of the Son of God and always will remain a virgin, for all eternity.

When you say a man on earth other than Christ and Christ alone can forgive sins you're speaking blasphemy, it's an absolute disgrace to name of my Lord Jesus Christ. This blasphemy totally diminishes what He did on the cross.

    5. The saints are dead here on earth' means they are no longer active on earth. But they are active in heaven.
Christ is our one and absolutely unique mediator who alone can reconcile us to the Father in a strict sense. But lesser and subordinate mediators are not excluded. They can help the cause of mediation in the only way that human beings can contribute to the work of salvation - by their willing response to grace; either better disposing themselves or others for divine grace, or interceding with God to give his grace, or freely cooperating with grace when conferred.
" any one that ... seeketh the truth from the dead" doesn't refer to praying to saints. It means the occult practice of consulting those who've died (who may be in hell) to gain knowledge illicitly.
Not a single one of those bible verses state that only Jesus Christ can forgive sins.
As to Mk 2, 7 I'm amazed that even Protestants can claim the scribes as their authority on blasphemy.
And the pertinent question re the Commandments is, "Why did the Protestants change the Commandments?"(which they had observed as Catholics until the Deformation of the Church in the 16th century).

The Sabbath is indeed on Saturday - for the Jewish people. Those who believe in and accept Christ, worship God on the Day of the Risen Lord (Sunday). This is further endorsed by the Apostle Paul when he stated "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in regard to food or drink or in respect to festival, or a new moon or a Sabbath day—things which are a mere shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ" (Col. 2:16-17). When Paul teaches that Christians do not have to keep the Sabbath, he speaks of the holy days that were specific to the Jews. Paul was dealing with Judaizers, who were telling Gentile Christians they had to be circumcised and keep the Old Covenant law that had passed away, which would include the Sabbath and other holy days, in order to be saved. Under the New Covenant, these laws are no longer binding.

that's not true because Jesus Himself kept the Sabbath Holy. God set the stage by creating the world in 6 days and resting on the 7th long before a Jew was even spotted. So its not just for the Jews, but for all of Gods chosen people.
Jesus fulfilled the law and gave us a new law and covenant that we should love the Lord thy God with thy heart and all thy soul and thy strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Does that mean that you can lie, cheat and steel because God fulfilled the law !? No, what God is saying here is that if you keep my new commands, you are also keeping the rest. Discernment is key here.
The catholic church has changed both time and laws fulfilled in prophesy by taking the second commandment out and splitting the 9th into two. They have also changed Gods Holy Sabbath day to a Sunday worship.

    4. Incorrect. Holy Scripture doesn't number the Commandments; the numbering derives from St Augustine, millennia before the Protestant churches were invented. "I am the Lord Thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me" implies that idols are forbidden - but not "graven images", which in the O T God Himself commanded to be made.
As for the Protestants' Tenth, would God really demean a man's wife by placing her on the same level as his goods?

    5. Candy-Jane James24 March 2024 at 14:51

The division and numbering of the 10 Commandments have varied throughout the centuries The Catholic Church follows the original Jewish Old Testament. Though the commandments are said to be “ten” in Exodus 34:28, they are not numbered. If you count the “you shall nots” along with the two positive commandments of keeping holy the Sabbath and honouring father and mother, you end up with 13 commandments.

    6. No such thing as a Jewish Old Testament lol and the Sabbath was a command given to Moses and to be kept by all the descendants of Jacob Israel, his friends and his neighbours. That means pretty much all of mankind except the edomite Jews (Idumean or Idu) that hate the white european people that descend from true Israel that worship the true God, Yahweh, Christ manifest.

why did the catholic church remove the second commandment in Exodus 20. Why do catholics bow to statues made with human hands. Why do catholics pray to dead Saints. Why does the pope endorse gay marriage. Why do catholics pray to Mary. Why does the pope think he can forgive sins.
Just a few of the many questions I have about the catholic religion that don't Biblically line up with God's word.

      Delete
    8. As I think I've explained already, the First Commandment, "Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me" implies we mustn't worship anything but God. All images, or likenesses made to be adored and served are forbidden by this commandment (thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them). That is, all that are designed for idols or image-gods, or are worshipped with divine honour are forbidden. But otherwise images, pictures, or representations, even in the house of God, and in the very sanctuary so far from being forbidden, are expressly authorized by the word of God. See Ex. 25. 15, and etc.; chap. 38. 7; Num. 21. 8, 9; 1 Chron. or Paralip. 28. 18, 19; 2 Chron. or Paralip. 3. 10.
Catholics don't bow to statues. They 'bow' (pray) to the saints they represent; they are reminders which help us pray to them.
The saints are no more dead than Jesus. Do you not believe in eternal life for those who've followed Christ so closely?
The so-called pope, who was illicitly elected, is demonically influenced or even perhaps possessed. Over its 2000+ year history the Church has had other bad popes and of course, survived them.
Catholics pray to Mary to ask her intercession with her Divine Son Who loved her infinitely more than any human son, and refuses her nothing she asks of Him. That's proven by umpteen Marian miracles. Investigate the Miracle of the Son at Fatima!
The pope like any other priest has the power to forgive sin simply because Our Lord said to the first pope, Peter, "Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven" (Mt 18, 18).
The words "bind and loose" mean: Whomever you exclude from your communion, will be excluded from communion with God; whomever you receive anew into your communion, God will welcome back into his. Reconciliation with the Church is inseparable from reconciliation with God.

    1. you're correct, but many don't like that truth. The reason we have Xmas and Easter when we do, for example, is because they're adopted and adapted pagan festivals.
