POPE TELLS JOURNOS DON'T GET OFF ON EATING EXCREMENT

Jorge Bergoglio wants Catholic journalists to avoid the sin of "coprophilia", and Catholics who read sinful Catholic journalists' writing, to avoid the sin of "coprophagia".

Pardon me? you ask. Okay, let's go for it.

"Coprophilia" means "the condition of desire for sexual gratification and sexual arousal derived from the smell, taste or sight of faeces or from the act of defecation."

"Coprophagia" means 'a rare and distressing disorder characterized by symptoms of compulsive consumption of faeces. Coprophilia, once connected almost exclusively with homosexuality, "is regarded as the most taboo consensual sexual activity and commonly is reviled as much as or more than violent or nonconsensual acts such as rape and pedophilia."
"The journal Case Reports in Psychiatry defines coprophagia as "a rare and distressing disorder characterized by symptoms of compulsive consumption of feces." The term is used of dogs who eat their own faeces or the feces of another species, according to the Encyclopedia of Animal Behavior.
"Finally, the pope denounced "coprophilia," describing it as "the love of filth," which is motivated by the fact that "scandals sell." People often have the vice of "coprophagia," or consuming scandals, he added.https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/vatican-wipes-popes-words-on-feces-loving-media

Even if we charitably assume he knows the dictionary definition (he's a Jesuit, for heaven's sake) and was speaking only metaphorically, Bergoglio's extraordinary, scatological outburst would seem to mean that Catholic journalists should not report or comment on the scandals emanating from the Vatican and the hierarchy and that you, dear reader, should refrain from reading said reports on Vatican scandals. Under pain of sin.

Bergoglio excels himself

"Writing fake news and stories about scandals is like being sexually aroused by excrement, Pope Francis has said.

"And since people tend towards coprophagia, or eating faeces, then the media should avoid spreading it, he said in an attack on the spread of disinformation.

"Francis apologised for his use of precise psychological terms that describe when people are aroused by excrement.

Lambasting journalists for sensationalist language, Bergoglio talks sensationalist language himself - repeating what he said in 2016, in yet another interview, even before he was elected to the papacy. But what Catholic journalists have to report is often, tragically, in fact sensational. Is Bergoglio, as a fading star in the journalistic firmament, really so desperate to reclaim the attention of the Fourth Estate?

The headline in 'Vatican News' blared:

Pope Francis speaks with Catholic News Service about US Church, journey to Iraq

Gosh. Strike me pink. Riveting.

"Recalling a congress of print journalists in Argentina some years ago, Pope Francis said he spoke at the time about four “sins” that afflict the profession. The first is “misinformation,” or “giving one side without the other.” On the contrary, he said, one can see nuances by giving both sides. Misinformation, then, is a sin because it leads to error.

"The second sin, “slander,” is a grave sin” that consists in harming a person’s reputation “with a lie,” while the third, “defamation,” sullies a person by recalling a past that no longer exists.”

Finally, the Pope denounced “coprophilia,” which he described as “the love of filth,” which is motivated by the fact that “scandals sell.” People often have the vice of “coprophagia,” or consuming scandals.

"Pope Francis forcefully warned journalists against falling into these sins.

'Forcefully' is one way of putting it. 'Scatologically' is another, Catholic, way of putting it.

That lefty rag The Guardian called lefty Bergoglio's language 'striking terminology'.

Britain's The Times called Bergoglio's polemic a "bizarre attack on journalists who cover Church scandals ... So basically, Pope Francis is saying that journalists who talk s*** about the Catholic Church's bureaucracy run the risk of eating s***. Perhaps a fair point," Business Insider quipped.

Cardinal Dew committing us firstly to protecting Maori custom and spirituality, secondly to 'different Christian denominations'

The Pope doesn't talk like he's a Catholic. Cardinal Call Me John Dew doesn't talk like he's a Catholic in his Waitangi Day homily, when he said:

“It is time to recommit ourselves to protecting the faiths of all who live here – of Māori custom and spirituality, of the different Christian denominations, of Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Bahai’i and many other faiths; and also the freedom of religion and conscience of those who profess no faith,” Cardinal Dew told the service, at Te Whare Rūnanga.

“It is religious tolerance, religious inclusion and religious acceptance that is our heritage. We honour and celebrate that today,” said Cardinal Dewhttps://www.catholic.org.nz/news/media-releases/cardinal-john-waitangi/

As New Zealand's premier Catholic prelate, Cardinal Dew should surely be recommitting himself and his flock primarily to protecting and promoting the Catholic faith as he was ordained by Jesus Christ Himself to do:

"Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Mt 28;19).

The Dunedin Diocese doesn't talk like it's Catholic, not when it sends 117 "not read" notices to a faithful Catholic in response to his email (below):

Subject: Not read: New Conservative will repeal the vile abortion legislation.

The emails were sent over a period of about 3 years and it seems like a minion only just got around to emptying the bishop's 'Deleted' folder.

Sounds like Dunedin Diocese is imitating Bergoglio's ultimate betrayal, in taking the vaccine contaminated by the remains of aborted babies, of the cause of the right to life of God's littlest ones, the most innocent, the voiceless ones.

And neither does a parish priest talk like a Catholic when he says, "If you'll please be seated" for the Eucharistic Prayer and the Consecration, for that awesome moment when the Son of God appears on the altar. And says nothing to encourage Catholic school children to genuflect on entering the church.

Incidentally, a reader says that of the priests at Palmerston North's Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, only one genuflects to the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle (which is still side-lined). Nothing gives loss of faith in the Holy Eucharist away so much as the failure to genuflect.

Faithful Catholics are beyond being embarrassed by the uncatholicity of the post-Vatican II Catholic Church. We are appalled.

We will vote with our feet by deserting the 'New Mass', the Novus Ordo Missae and its studied, farcical practice of irreverence, effeminacy and irrelevance, for the Traditional Latin Mass, the Immemorial Mass, the Mass of the Ages.

  1. Any publication which questions Pope Francis and any lay person who reads such a publication is guilty of spreading or eating filth. Utter nonsense from a Pope on roller skates to oblivion. Anyone who falls for his argument has an impaired intellect.

    1. Or is a case of arrested spiritual development like the majority, I suspect, of Novus Ordo Massgoers whose souls are dying of starvation.

I must admit after reading Cardinal Dew’s abridged homily earlier tonight, my first thoughts were to his blatant rejection of the Nicene Creed, and if you reject that, the rest is history - you might as well be up that proverbial creek without a paddle. To think that a Catholic Pope has inspired such base thoughts is unbelievable - as unbelievable as it is to consider that a Cardinal has made another proclamation amounting to publicly rejecting the One Holy Catholic and apostolic faith.
