The pope is dead. Long live the pope!
Since 2013 the Catholic Church has had two popes. But now some reckon there's no pope at all. That the man the world knows as Pope Francis was elected fraudulently. That with the passing of Benedict XVI the Church has lost her Vicar, and maybe also the 'Katechon' ('Great Restrainer') of 2 Thess 2 and that if so, "all hell will break loose" (Ann Barnhardt).
Is it just Catholics who cling to vested interests (ministries and/or status), or to the way things were, who maintain that Francis is pope? He himself has done more than anyone to shred that pious belief. An evil cabal - the St Gallen mafia - got Jorge Bergoglio elected to fulfil a satanic, Freemasonic, globalist agenda and with his ghastly Synod, if he lives long enough, he will finish the job and with it, he thinks, the Church herself. But like it or not, Francis is accepted as pope so it looks like we're stuck with him.

One thing is clear: the death of Benedict XVI opens a can of worms. It will not have escaped your notice that he died on the very last day of 2022, and on the Vigil (in our part of the world, and the vigil of the Vigil in the rest of it) of the Solemnity of the Mother of God. What that means is impossible to guess but it does seem portentous, somehow.

“The writers of the Church tell us that in the latter days the city of Rome will probably become apostate from the Church and Vicar of Jesus Christ; and that Rome will again be punished, for he will depart from it; and the judgment of God will fall on the place from which he once reigned over the nations of the world."
And this much has become very clear, that Rome is apostate from the Church, and that the Vicar of Jesus Christ has departed from it, as Francis/Antipope/Bergoglio/whatever removed himself under that title from the Vatican yearbook, the Annuario Pontificio, in 2020, in an act denounced by Gerhard Cardinal Muller as "theological barbarism".
"For what is it that makes Rome sacred, but the presence of the Vicar of Jesus Christ? What has it that should be dear in the sight of God, save only the presence of the Vicar of His Son? Let the Church of Christ depart from Rome, and Rome will be no more in the eyes of God than Jerusalem of old.
"Jerusalem, the Holy City, chosen by God, was cast down and consumed by fire, because it crucified the Lord of Glory; and the city of Rome, which has been the seat of the Vicar of Jesus Christ for eighteen hundred years, if it become apostate, like Jerusalem of old, will suffer a like condemnation. And, therefore, the writers of the Church tell us that the city of Rome has no prerogative except only that the Vicar of Christ is there ; and if it become unfaithful, the same judgments which fell on Jerusalem, hallowed though it was by the presence of the Son of God, of the Master, and not the disciple only, shall fall likewise upon Rome.
"The apostasy of the city of Rome from the Vicar of Christ, and its destruction by Antichrist, may be thoughts so new to many Catholics, that I think it well to recite the text of theologians in the greatest repute. First, Malvenda, who writes expressly on the subject, states as the opinion of Ribera, Gaspar Melus, Viegas, Suarez, Bellarmine, and Bosius, that Rome shall apostatise from the faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ, and return to its ancient paganism.*
Many would say that metaphorically speaking, Rome drove away Benedict XVI.by forcing his resignation.
"Malvenda’s words are: “But Rome itself in the last times of the world will return to its ancient idolatry, power, and imperial greatness. It will cast out its Pontiff, altogether apostatise from the Christian faith, terribly persecute the Church, shed the blood of martyrs more cruelly than ever, and will recover its former state of abundant wealth, or even greater than it had under its first rulers.”

So as we well know, Rome has already apostatised, and has persecuted the Church by forcing millions of her members to accept an experimental medication which has proved disastrous to their health to the point of death by v*x, and by the odious Custodes Traditionis which has deprived millions of the Mass.

Shortly before his death in the year 1226, none other than St. Francis of Assisi gathered together his spiritual children and prophesied a time of tribulation in the Church, during which a man, non-canonically elected, is raised to the pontificate, and who, by his cunning, endeavors to lead many into error. The following prophecy is taken from the book Works of the Seraphic Father St. St. Francis of Assisi, published in the year 1882:“The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase. The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death. Then scandals will be multiplied … there will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God. …
Those who are found faithful will receive the crown of life; … choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy.
Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer." True or False Pope: IS FRANCIS OR BENEDICT THE TRUE POPE?So friends, as the Barque of Peter heads into the storm of her lifetime with a wicked helmsman at the wheel, lash yourselves to the mast by prayer and fasting.
2023 will be a wild but exhilarating ride for the Church and all the faithful who sail in her. Remember, the Catholics of our time are the envy of the saints!

The spiritual testament of Pope Benedict is a moving read:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.vaticannews.va/en/vatican-city/news/2022-12/the-spiritual-testament-of-pope-emeritus-benedict-xvi.html
He says that he has seen liberalism, existentialism and Marxism collapse before faith and God's truth, "and the Church, in all her shortcomings, is truly His Body."
Inevitably, Pope Benedict will be proven correct, but it may be rough for Catholics in the interim.
