2 PORN ARTISTS - ONE NAMED, RICH ONE NOT

New Zealanders need to be horrified by the conviction of two men for possessing  thousands of the foulest possible images of sexual perversion. And we should be up in arms against the weighted scales of justice which released the name of one and not the other, because of 'good character' and donations to charity.

Storm Constable-Carter's filth is public property, exposing the LGBTQ Rainbow's evil pot of gold, Drag Queen 'story tellers' and the Burnett Foundation. And showing the idiocy (at best) of PM Luxon who's "a big fan", and Willis, Bishop,  Stanford, Seymour and        Hipkins who made fools of themselves at the Gay Pride parade. New Zealand needs to tell them that pride goes before a fall. Vote them all out.

But the pedophilia and bestiality of the 'rich lister' is hidden because lefty Judge Maria Pecotic, who let the Greens' shoplifter, her colleague Golriz Ghahraman, out on bail, ordered suppression not just of the offender's name but his family's high profile business. She cited his 'good character' - seriously - and his $50,000 donation to charity.

It reeks of bribery and corruption by unseen influencers and if New Zealand had a reputable media they'd uncover it. Justice demands that all offenders' names be released upon conviction. Pity the poor little rich guy who was falsely named on X as the child abuser. His wealth will be but poor consolation.

Meanwhile, in Nelson, Storm Constable-Carter is exposed to the gaze of the rude and scoffing multitude:

Storm Constable-Carter is not some confused young man who made a “mistake.” He is a monster. Yesterday I wrote about how he admitted to stockpiling and distributing thousands upon thousands of sickening images of child abuse and animal torture. Babies. Children. Animals. Tortured for the enjoyment of perverts like him.

Go look at his social media and you will see what he wanted the world to see - rainbow flags, makeup tutorials while he studied at Samala Robinson Academy, multi-coloured hair, endless TQ+ slogans. The picture of a “progressive, colourful young person.” The mask of acceptance.

In the courtroom, though, that mask was gone. Stripped of the glitter, he stood there exposed for what he really is.

What do the so called “support agencies” do? Groups like the Burnett Foundation spend their time pushing extreme gender ideology down the throats of young people, waving flags and slogans, while failing to pick up on the glaring warning signs. They enable this circus instead of confronting the fact that some of the loudest voices in these movements are unhinged and dangerous.

Peru has already taken the step of classifying transgenderism as a mental health disorder. Meanwhile, in New Zealand, we are told to celebrate and affirm every fringe identity, no matter how detached from reality. How many children need to be abused before we stop pretending this ideology is “healthy”?

The truth is ugly, but it needs to be said that monsters like Storm Constable-Carter thrive in a culture that hides behind rainbows. Matua Kahurangi <matua@substack.com>

Also from Matua Kahurangi:

Judge Pecotic - who granted bail to her friend and legal associate Golriz Ghahrahman

New Zealand should be disgusted. A 46-year-old member of a wealthy family has been convicted of possessing and importing over 11,000 files of child sexual abuse material, including videos of toddlers being tortured, children being urinated on, and sadistic sexual acts involving pre-pubescent girls.

Despite the seriousness of these crimes, their identity has been permanently suppressed. Not only their own name, but also their family name and the name of their high-profile company.

To make matters worse, this offender managed to shave their sentence down to just two years and five months in prison – after Judge Maria Pecotic handed out a massive 56% discount.

Why? Because of so-called “good character,” mental health claims, remorse, and most shockingly, a $50,000 “donation” to two charities. That seems to me more like a bribe in exchange for leniency.

Name suppression, after conviction, should be exceedingly rare and only for very minor offending.

The 56% discount will no longer be available in future, with a new 40% cap. But it is the suppression more than length of sentence which is the outrage.

It is also very unfair on other members of wealthy families in their 40s. On social media several high profile people have been incorrectly named.

I hope the Crown or media appeal the name suppression decision.  https://www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2025/08/an_appalling_name_suppression_decision.html

A false claim on Grok.

From the Free Speech Union:

Permanent name suppression granted to a wealthy criminal recently convicted for the possession and importation of objectionable material is an affront to everyone outside the elite groups permitted to know the truth. The courts are weakening trust in equality before the law.

A healthy court system requires mutual respect and confidence between the law insiders and the public. By keeping the people in the dark, judges show they do not trust them, says Free Speech Union Chair Stephen Franks.
“The Free Speech Union has always opposed name suppression because it is censorship. Censorship powers are always eventually abused by the insiders and elites who like knowing things the masses don’t.

The courts don’t even care that suppression doesn’t work and that eventually most people who matter to an offender will learn of the offence. Claiming to respond to ‘undue hardship’ is just conspicuous compassion. There is rarely evidence that early public knowledge causes more long-term harm than the Streisand effect created by attempts at suppression. Suppression simply deepens public curiosity and mistrust.
“Media reports today highlight these knock-on effects. AI incorrectly named a man as the protected individual. Understandably, he is distressed by this and wants the record corrected.
“When the courts keep criminals’ names hidden, the media cannot do their job informing the public. The public’s freedom to discuss matters of real concern is undermined. Speculation can harm the reputations of innocent families and individuals.

“Whether justifiable or not, this secrecy is perceived as evidence of a two-tier system. Those with connections, wealth, or influence are shielded. Ordinary New Zealanders are not. These perceptions are toxic to democracy and the law.
“We urge Parliament to change the law that lets courts treat the people of New Zealand as unable, or unworthy, to be trusted with information. It is feeding expectations that our freedom of speech will be restored only by growing civil disobedience such as contempt of the court orders.
“The Free Speech Union once again reminds New Zealanders that they can demand that Parliament stop allowing them to be treated as children who can’t handle the truth.”https://x.com/NZFreeSpeech/status/1958592506850869310

While suppression is often maintained to spare the victims, that doesn't seem to be the case here. On the face of it, it looks dodgy in the extreme.
