"I'll organise for you to be raped!" 

The threat was hurled by a very angry woman at a reader of this blog at the pro-life vigil outside Hastings Hospital this morning (Friday is the day they kill babies.) The angry woman had asked, aggressively, "If you got raped would you keep the baby?" and our reader had said, "Yes", thereby inviting a stream of invective. 

Faithful Christians will be persecuted. St Paul tells us that repeatedly. It's highly significant that these pro-lifers are Latin Mass adherents. So are Fathers Michael Mary and Anthony Mary FSSR, Christchurch, now forbidden by their Bishop, Michael Gielen, to perform exorcisms.

An indignant faithful Catholic pleads for letters of support for the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer to +Gielen and +Michael Dooley Bishop of Dunedin, asking them to reflect on the fruits of their Oratory.  

"By their fruits you shall know them" (Mt 7:16). How many parishes have as many growing families who faithfully attend Mass on Sundays and mid-week?  How many parishes have had vocations during the last 2-3 years?  Six young men from the Oratory have joined the monks in the last two years.

This intervention makes the reason for Gower, Lineham, Grayland, Cathnews and above all the bishops to make trouble for the Sons even clearer. Satan is in a towering rage with these holy men for the priestly vocations resulting from their ministry of the traditional Latin Mass.   

We know that the devil will use whatever means he can to try to destroy the church and faithful priests.  We must continue to pray for their protection.

Another timely intervention comes from a parishioner of the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, as follows:

Worst case scenario could be that they are asked to leave. Which the Sons would probably have to do to save Scotland and Montana (the order's other houses).   That would leave us with no Latin Mass as I am sure that once the Sons are gone Rangiora (Parish) would be stopped.

We all know that the programme (Tv3's Paddy Gower Has Issues contained straight-out lies and half-truths told by people who have the own agendas.   These people must be prayed for as they have committed calumny and detraction and should not be supported or encouraged. Greg Price (one of the "earnest parishioners" mentioned below) told one of our faithful that his goal is to get rid of “two men” ( Fathers Michael and Anthony}.  The problem is that if he succeeds we will all suffer as our Chaplaincy will be gone.  

I am asking everyone to carry on praying for the Chaplaincy and our Bishops and also Greg, Ingeborg ("the woman in the hat"?) and anyone who took part in that program.  Also, as the Church Militant I am asking you all to write to the Bishop showing your support for The Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer. It doesn't have be a long email, just a personal message. The Bishop's email address is  bishop@cdoc.nz.

Good must win over evil.  The time has come for us to stand-up

Impugned by Tv 3's Paddy Gower and Michael Morrah, by earnest ex-parishioners, Protestant go-to talking head Peter Lineham, Cathnews' tame apostate priest Joe Grayland and his online adherents, the faithful Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer were alleged to have performed exorcisms without permission from their bishop at the time, Bishop Paul Martin (now Archbishop of Wellington), and without requisite medical or psychological examination.

Let's be clear about this media beat-up: nebulous insinuations of abuse, complaints of 'on-line vitriol' from the Grayland Fan Club, a smirk from Protestant (ergo a heretic and so, deprived of the Spirit) Prof Lineham at his own wishful thinking, that these holy priests could be defrocked, and most egregiously, Grayland's description of the Redemptorist order as "a fringe sect" are just the tip of an iceberg.

That iceberg is the Latin Mass. Upon that iceberg have foundered countless foes of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church in her 2000 years of faithfully following Christ. The Mass of All Time could be characterised as a 'katechon' - a restrainer in this context not of the antiChrist, but of Lucifer himself, who for that very reason of his restraint hates, fears and loathes the Latin Mass. 

Ask yourself why evil walks abroad now, as Satan displays himself today plainly in the legal slaughter of babies, the elderly helped by 'doctors' to kill themselves,  transgenderism, same-sex 'marriage', LGBTQA+, Gay Pride: all Lucifer's evil faces are revealed in the wake of the Second Vatican Council which mangled the Holy Eucharist and effected a mass (pun intended) exodus of priests and people worldwide.

What was, and is, the sin of Lucifer, but pride? And what is its opposing virtue but humility? And what virtue is resolutely suppressed by the texts of the Novus Ordo - in omitting the Latin Mass' "I confess", the thrice-repeated "Lord have mercy", the thrice-repeated "Lord I am not worthy" and most especially in replacing the humble reception of the Eucharist on one's knees on the tongue, with the arrogance of sauntering up to take Our Lord by the hand? 

It's humility - the virtue par excellence of the Blessed Virgin Mary - that wins the heart of God, and that Satan abhors and from which he flees. Make no mistake, the Latin Mass, the Mass of All Time, the Mass of Ages, the Tridentine Mass, the Usus Antiquior, is the real target of Gower, Grayland et al - all sooled on by Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Whether they realise it or not, they're Satan's little helpers. 

The nub of the issue is why a fringe group, that does not belong to the mainstream of the Church and does not follow the ordinary form the Mass promuligated by Pope Paul VI in 1969 (Novus Ordo) is permitted to perform any sacrament, let alone a sacramental like a “major exorcism”? Poor Church communication helps trivialise exorcism (cathnews.co.nz)

Here Fr Grayland lets his mean Siamese cat out of the bag. He's not really concerned about exorcisms or sex abuse: he's after the traditional Latin Mass, like Paddy Gower - whether wittingly or unwittingly - was after it. Satan utilises any means at his disposal to attack the Mass which has so many names because it was celebrated by all Catholics everywhere, for over two millenia. Until the Freemason Annibale Bugnini, who obviously had a hold over the wretched Paul VI, got in some Protestants to help concoct, in the space of a mere five years, a 'fabricated' Mass to replace the real one. 

A manifest heretic like Joe Grayland (he eschews his priestly honorific, as does Cathnews) is by reason of his heresy automatically excommunicated: 

According to Saint Robert Bellarmine, all the ancient Fathers teach that “manifest heretics lose immediately all jurisdiction.”

Someone who has ceased being a member of the Church, because of manifest heresy, cannot enjoy any jurisdiction in it. Heresy and ecclesiastical jurisdiction are incompatible.

So we need not bother our pretty heads about Joe Grayland. Especially not since with the appointment, at last, of a bishop - and an orthodox one at that - it's said he's looking for "fresh fields and pastures new", appropriately enough in Germany. His reign as de facto bishop, together with that of what's been described as a feminist cabal at the cathedral parish of Palmerston North Diocese is over. Our prayers go with him. 

We hope and pray also that he manages to re-open the cathedral doors - closed since a curtain went up in flames, sort of, making for smoke damage which must have been very grievous - in time for Bishop-elect John Adams' consecration on September 30.

It's eminently sensible, of course, for Bishop Gielen, away at World Youth Day (what did he think of the opening Mass?), to suspend all exorcisms (not only the FSSR's) in Christchurch Diocese and to order a comprehensive review of the practice. Exorcisms suspended by Christchurch bishop (cathnews.co.nz) It's just what you'd expect a good shepherd to do. However, it's a mystery why Bishop Michael Dooley of Dunedin should climb on this bandwagon and suspend the visits of the FSSR to his diocese. No one has suggested they are conducting exorcisms in Dunedin.

And, most revealing of Satan's crusade against the Latin Mass is this - the last paragraph of today's Cathnews: 

Dr Joe Grayland questioned why a Bishop of Christchurch gave permission to this fringe (sic) group to perform exorcisms and why, in light of Pope Francis’ most recent instruction, they are still permitted to use the old Latin Rite for Mass.

Doh. Because permitting the use of the Latin Mass is just what you'd expect a good shepherd to do. As that inmitable Catholic man of letters, Hilaire Belloc, wrote: 

"The Catholic Church is an institution I am bound to hold divine – but for unbelievers a proof of its divinity might be found in the fact that no merely human institution conducted with such knavish imbecility would have lasted a fortnight.”
