NO ROOM IN MARAMA DAVIDSON'S LIFE FOR VIOLENCE EXCEPT ABORTION

"There is no room for violence in our lives."

What appalling hypocrisy was revealed by Marama Davidson, Green Party leader, when she said this today. She's the Green Party leader so it can't be stupidity. It must be hypocrisy. Or simply a blatant lie.

Because Marama Davidson was one of the chief architects of the Abortion Legislation Act, which violently ended the lives of  13,236 unborn children in New Zealand last year. 120 of those babies were over 20 weeks' gestation, an increase of over 42% from the previous year.

Those babies were killed in the womb of their mothers, at their mothers' behest.

The womb is our first home. Abortion is domestic violence in the first degree.

"Minister for Family and Sexual Violence, Marama Davidson, has launched a national discussion on the prevention and elimination of family and sexual violence" said the media release today.

Really??? She's launched this national discussion? Today? Hasn't it been going on for years - like since around 1977, when the Contraception Sterilision and Abortion Act first made it legit to kill babies.

"There is no place for family violence or sexual violence in our whanau at all, " Ms Davidson says, sententiously. Sorry, but the stats on violence among Maori say there's far more 'place' for family violence in your whanau than in the general population. Of course the legit violence of slaughtering the most defenceless Maori, the unborn, is conveniently done elsewhere: in our hospitals.

."It's not OK that women have waited this long." Davidson said at the time the ALA was passed. Like, they couldn't wait to kill their own children?

“We know that violence can happen across all communities – no community is excepted."

Not even a community, say, of Cistercian monks or Carmelite nuns? Maybe Davidson would say they're the exception that proves the rule. And why? Because those communities are governed by Jesus Christ, the Lord of life and love.

“It’s a priority for me to increase work that will make the most difference."

Perhaps she means she's going to stop it. Only she couldn't be that blunt, because no one would believe her. Just like we don't believe her political junk-speak.

"This means bolstering prevention activities to stop violence happening in the first place, and wrap-around services for those using violence to stop.”

But, Ms Davidson, you were the very MP who made a last-ditch attempt to salvage the so-called 'safe areas' bill which would have prevented exactly what you now say you want: "prevention activities to stop violence happening in the first place".

Pro-life outreaches at abortion facilities offer empathy, prayer and practical assistance for women with problematical pregnancies, and "wrap-around services for those using violence" - in other words women with appointments to kill their children. Pro-life organisations who will support those women stand outside hospitals all over New Zealand, patiently waiting to be called upon.

To be consistent you should immediately withdraw the support of the Green Party from Louisa Walls' 'safe areas' bill, which if passed would eliminate the very same sort of invaluable 'prevention activity' that you're now advocating.

Marama Davidson said the engagement process would open up a safe and trusted space for all voices of the community, particularly those with “lived experience”, to be listened to and learned from before the creation of the national strategy and action plans.

Ah, we see: more hui. More meetings. More snouts in the trough organising and running the hui and meetings.

Wahine Maori were still disproportionately represented according to the data, she said.   More than one in three were survivors of family and/or sexual violence.

Exactly. And how many more are survivors of family violence in the womb, with mothers who perhaps intended to abort them but didn't get around to it, or with their siblings missing, killed by their own parents? What sort of effect does Davidson think that has on the spirit and soul of a child?

“It is essential, given the evidence, that the Maori leadership, Te Ao Maori thinking and inclusive Te Tiriti framework play a pivotal part in transforming the system and is right at the forefront,” she said.

Look, Ms Davidson, we got the 'Wahine Maori' bit but we're sorry, we don't know what 'Te Ao Maori thinking' is. But it's obviously not 'thinking' about the slaughter of your unborn, and so it's not going to work. And don't you think voters are more than a little tired of 'failure to honour Te Tiriti' being trotted out endlessly as justification for abysmal Maori performance in Just About Everything?

“Davidson (has) blamed colonisation and racism for the existence of gangs and their criminal behaviour. In fact, the clear message she sent was that gangs were the true victims in our society" - Darroch Ball, Co-Leader, Spokesperson, Sensible Sentencing Trust. https://thebfd.co.nz/2021/05/03/marama-davidsons-slap-in-the-face-for-the-victims-of-gang-violence/

She particularly acknowledged Interim Te Ropu , who produced the Te Hau Tangata resource in the engagement invitation pack, the current leadership in communities, and the widely respected research that had a whakapapa spanning decades.

Well there's a lot of very expensive 'thinking' for a start. And a lot of bumf. A fat lot of good it will do you while you're still killing your young before birth as well as after.

“This has all contributed to getting us as a country to this place. I know we are ready to take action together,” she said.

And what makes you think this 'action' will be any improvement on the past?

The engagement, which began last week and would continue until the end of June, included community-led hui, anonymous online survey engagement, email and free-post submissions, in writing, by voice or video.   All online and email channels would be safe, secure and confidential.

The Government had engaged independent expert advisers to oversee the handling of the insight evidence to ensure it would be confidential and retained its integrity.

How much will the 'independent expert advisers' engaged by this amoral, spendthrift Government cost the taxpayers? As for 'integrity', Ms Davidson, you take my breath away. You are a stranger to integrity, which is a gift from Almighty God to those who believe in Him and obey His commandments.

In politics, being able to be a hypocrite is proof of your political power. You don't have to be balanced, reasonable or able to justify. Marama Davidson, Green Party leader, living in Jacinda's shadow with a record parliamentary majority, a compliant mainstream media, and an ineffective opposition, can do what she wishes.
