PREGNANCY HELP, POPE, PM, PREVARICATING BUT NOT THE NEW POLITICAL PARTY

Image may contain: text

"Why," Mike Hosking asked the Prime Minister this morning, "are there cruise ships in Auckland Harbour?"

"That is untrue," said the Prime Minister. "We have already barred cruise ships."

"Prime Minister, I'm looking out the window right now, and there are cruise ships in the harbour."

"We have barred cruise ships," replied the Prime Minister; "we have barred cruise ships."

But if you'd looked out the window yesterday, reports the NZ Herald, you'd have seen the Noordam and the Azamara right there in the harbour.

One has to wonder if Ardern has lost the plot. The facts are that yes, the government had indeed barred cruise ships from entering NZ waters, but the Noordam and Azamara beat them to it; they were already here.

So why, instead of explaining that, did Ardern "flat-out deny" what Hosking could see from his window?

She and her gummint have locked New Zealand up and thrown away the key. All to stop one old lady dying in Greymouth. Ardern et Al are acting like they're scared witless.

The death toll above shows us reality. The world is sick as a dog, but not with coronavirus. The world is sick with fear; scared witless of dying..

Just as the Prime Minister denies the fact of two ships in Auckland harbour, so does she and her gummint implicitly deny the fact that deaths from coronavirus are a fraction of those from influenza and a mere blip in comparison with deaths from abortion.

They also deny the proven, demonstrable fact that the unborn child is a human being.

This is prevarication of the first water. It's all about avoiding the truth.

For instance, Pregnancy Help is all about coming to the aid of the unborn and their mothers - isn't it?

That's what I believed, until our local branch of Voice for Life (Central Hawke's Bay) decided to donate to PH. But first I sought an assurance from the local front person that Pregnancy Help would never refer a woman for an abortion. She gave me two A4 pages of bumff in which the word 'abortion' was not mentioned. No such assurance was forthcoming, and without that assurance, VFL CHB could not donate.

Yesterday a veteran pro-life advocate forwarded me an email from Pregnancy Help asking him to remove their address from his contacts. Evidently they wanted no more of his pro-life data. Pregnancy Help National stated that:

"Our policy is that clients considering abortion should be provided information about appropriate counseling options ... Information about the process of abortion etc is not to be provided ... We are respectful of people making their own choices (whatever choice that might be)."

Enough said.

What sort of abortion counselling is it that denies informed consent by not giving information on its harmful mental, physical and spiritual outcomes? NZ prolifers would not be keen on contributing to a platform which refuses to inform women on the effects of abortion - i.e. that it means murdering their own child and living with the consequences for the rest of their lives.

The same veteran pro-lifer belongs to the New Conservative Party. He says his "telecanvassing" in the last couple of weeks shows support for the New Conservatives in one out of every seven “conversations”, by which he means phone calls where someone answers.
"One in seven equals 14%", he says. "So if every voter who shares New Conservative’s values/principles gave their party vote to NC, we’d get 14%. But so many who are aligned with us worry about wasting their vote, and so their worry becomes self-fulfilling.

"I’m gonna try to make this point from now on during “conversations”.

So in the interests of increasing the prolife vote and tipping "kind" Jacinda out office, here's the latest New Conservative press release:
"

PRESS RELEASE
18 March 2020
The Mortal End of a Kind of Kind Government
Dismembering a live baby with or without sedation can never be classified as kind.

Brutal?  Yes.

Repugnant?  Yes.

Inhumane?  Yes.

Kind?  No!

Leaving a living baby to die on a cold stainless steel bench does not qualify as kind either, yet this government has rejected medical treatment for abortion survivors. Even after birth!

New Conservative has committed to repeal of this repulsive, anti-child policy being a condition of any coalition agreement formed after September 19th, and would require a binding referendum so that New Zealand gets a say on how our most vulnerable citizens are treated.
“Allowing a conscience vote on a policy like abortion is undemocratic. Politicians are elected to represent us, not rule over us, dictate to us, or micromanage us,” says New Conservative leader Leighton Baker.

"When Government ministers proclaim discomfort at being shown images of what they are seek to legitimise, it proves they are disconnected from reality and society.

"Abortion kills babies.
“New Conservative is the party of binding referenda, the party committed to giving the citizens of New Zealand a voice between elections," concludes Baker.

"It is time for New Zealand's elected dictatorships to stop, and for all life to be respected.”

And hey, what about "kind" Aunty Ardern allowing the slaughter of babies to continue because it's an "essential service"? A leading US OB-GYN dispelled myths about abortions being “essential” health care this week.
Dr. Christina Francis, who practises in Indiana and chairs the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists, said doctors across the country are postponing medical procedures to conserve resources and protect patients from the coronavirus.
But abortion facilities, which primarily do elective abortions, are continuing their life-destroying business as usual.

Same here! And for those who look to the UN and the World Health Organisation for guidance, here's a reality check: last week the UN set out a $2B spending plan that puts abortion front and center of food and health security. Shame.

In these surreal days of coronaphobia, we must look to our Mother, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, for the truth.

But what do we see? The Head of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Pope, has dropped his title of "Vicar of Christ" from the 2020 Pontifical Year Book of the Holy See, relegating it to a footnote, deprecating it as an "historical title".

Previous Pontifical Year Books have stated "Vicar of Christ" over and above the name of the incumbent pope. In 2020 we see just the name "Jorge Mario Bergoglio". So he is no longer the Vicar of Christ?

Usually, the presentation of the Church's hierarchy – Cardinals, bishops and the Vatican's dicasteries – starts with the Pontiff, under the title “Vicar of Jesus Christ” (“Vicario di Gesù Cristo”), which “stems from Holy Scripture, in which Jesus granted St. Peter the power of the keys in the Church.”

Cardinal Gerhard Muller calls the change "theological barbarianism" and "an embarrassment". The title "Vicar of Christ" stems from Holy Scripture, in which Jesus granted St. Peter the power of the keys in the Church.

Barbaric it may be, and embarrassed we may be, not only by the latest prevarications from the Vatican but also by the latest from our Prime Minister on "Covid-19" on the nightly TvOne 'News' - which would be laughable if it weren't so horrible - we take refuge in God, who will not allow evil to prevail.

In his sermon today from St Anthony Whanganui's Priory - please, Father, slow your delivery down so that dimwits like moi can keep up - Father Francois Laisney SSPX reminded us that God is Justice and Mercy.

Our sufferings - like the Covid-19 terror, and the ravages inflicted on the Church by this pontificate - are the just consequence of sin, and we must repair for our sins to be instruments of mercy for others.  (If Justice comes, can Mercy be far behind?)

By offering ourselves to God in reparation for sin, says Fr Laisney,  we will participate in God's victory over sin, in His Death and Resurrection:

"... So that our children and and grandchildren will enjoy the fruits of that suffering in Heaven."

Down here in Dunedin Pregnancy Help refer women with crisis pregnancies straight to the lions den... Family Planning Association of NZ. It used to be pro-life but was taken over by pro aborts. Was started by some great Catholic women. Our previous bishop stopped financially supporting them.

  2. Hi Julia, interesting statistics here, my concern is more for Western countries.
82.5% of worldwide deaths according to statistics 5 April, come from the USA plus 9 countries in Europe. See: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ - the same website you used.

The statistics show coronavirus worldwide deaths having increased about 330% in 11 days since your 25 March death total stated above, revealing the exponential growth of this virus in the USA and Europe. This exponential growth is more concerning for Western countries I think, because they may not have the ability to discipline their population.

See here a young person putting out a challenge to spread coronavirus on her social media app which has 21,000 followers. This person also has 160,000 followers on Instagram. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/entertainment/2020/03/coronavirus-tiktok-video-shows-influencer-licking-toilet-seat-for-covid-19-challenge.html
Also older people in Western countries are less inclined to do what they are told.

Bloomfield today said that 1 paper reported that countries where there was most spread of coronavirus over the winter and spring were in the latitude 30 and 50 degrees north.
NZ’s latitude is exactly between 30 and 50 degrees south. See latitude map here: http://www.compassdude.com/latitude-longitude.php

  4. I say:

Yes, Stephanie, I agree: our concern should certainly be more for Western countries - by and large latitude 30 longitude 50 - which were evangelised by the Gospel but since the ‘Reformation’ and more recently Vatican II have come to spurn Christ and His Church. The teenager in that clip is an egregious example of the sad outcome.

I might add that Ashley Bloomfield would most likely never think to relate that physical degree of latitude and longitude to the spiritual degree of Christianity.

Many, many deaths are recorded as being from coronavirus when they are actually deaths where the virus is present but not the cause.

But even so, to keep things in proportion, as of Saturday the US death toll from Covid-19 is 6,593. As of mid-March deaths in the current flu season in the US are 24,000-63,000 and no one considers that unusual, or cause for lockdown.

And you’re right too to say older people in Western countries are less likely to do what they’re told (than, I suppose you mean, more naturally submissive nations like Koreans, Singaporeans etc): this older person in particular.

It depends who’s doing the telling. Like Bishop Athanasius Schneider, I obey God rather than men – or women, especially women like “kind” Jacinda Ardern.
