FR CARLOS MARTINS: COVID IS A CHASTISEMENT, I FEAR THERE IS MORE TO COME

"My hope is to give the People of God, and especially the clergy, some understanding as to why I believe the COVID-19 pandemic is happening."

Father Carlos Martins, a Canadian priest of the Companions of the Cross and a convert from atheism, apologises for the length of this reflection, which he says was difficult to write. He wrote it on Holy Thursday in the belief that "we are experiencing a divine chastisement" a belief which readers of this blog will recognise as a constant theme of recent weeks. I agree with his every word.

Father Martins fears that more is come. He continues:

Consider the following:

FACT 1:

We all know that during the Amazon Synod last fall, the Pope permitted pagan ceremonies in the Vatican Gardens with a Pachamama statue.  Pachamama is an idol within the pagan Amazonian mythology … specifically, a fertility goddess who (allegedly) sustains all life on earth (I’m not kidding … just Google it).

However, at the Mass to close the Amazon Synod (Oct. 27, 2019) the Pope received a bowl with soil and plants during the offertory from an indigenous woman.  In the Amazon, such bowls are synonymous with Pachamama deity, symbolizing her status as Mother Earth.

The Pope instructed his Master of Ceremonies (Monsignor Guido Marini) to place the bowl on top of the high altar within the Basilica of St. Peter.  Neither plants, nor any other object, save what is needed to celebrate Mass, is EVER PERMITTED TO BE PLACED ON TOP OF AN ALTAR.  This has been the constant practice of the Church for 2,000 years, and is the Vatican’s own directive.

The video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1ud3rCiFog (from the start she leads the procession with the bowl; fast forward to the 56 minute mark and you see the transfer of the bowl to the Pope).  The bowl remained on the altar during the Consecration of the Blessed Eucharist, as well as for the rest of the Mass.  It remained on the altar after the Pope and the other celebrants left.

AFTERWARDS:

That venerable altar—the most recognizable in the world—had no congregation around it tonight for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.  As well, for the first time in its storied history, it will have no congregation present for the Easter Vigil Mass, nor for Easter Sunday Masses.

FACT 2:

The Pachamama idol was placed on the altars of various churches throughout Rome during the Synod.

AFTERWARDS:

Catholic Churches world-wide are now closed to the Faithful.  No altar throughout the world had the People of God present for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper this evening, nor will they for any of the Easter liturgies.  The priest(s) will celebrate alone.  In fact, certain dioceses, such as that of Hamilton (Canada), have forbidden the Celebration of the Sacred Triduum in ANY parish even by the priests alone.

It is as if the Italian altars acted as proxies for every other altar, transferring their “sin” onto them.  Neither the Roman Emperors, nor Attila the Hun, nor the French Revolution, nor the World Wars, nor Hitler and Stalin were ever successful at emptying parishes of their congregations.  And now every Catholic parish worldwide is empty during the holiest days of the year.

FACT 3:

The Italian Bishops Conference published an official prayer to Pachamama.  I am not kidding.  They published an official prayer to a pagan idol.  https://www.sabinopaciolla.com/la-preghiera-alla-dea-pachamama-e-presente-nel-materiale-della-fondazione-missio-organismo-della-c-e-i/?print=print

AFTERWARDS:

Italy became the COVID-19 pandemic hotspot and its hospitals were completely overwhelmed with the sick.  Medical staff had to choose who to put on a ventilator, and who to simply let die.  As of this evening (April 9, 2020), the virus has killed over 100 Italian priests, far more than in another other country.

FACT 4:

Two years ago, in a deal brokered by disgraced (and now former) Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the Vatican agreed to allow the evil and murderous Chinese Communist government to select bishops.  This, in effect, threw the always faithful “underground and unofficial” Catholic Church under the bus, as it entailed that the Vatican would no longer partner with it, but with the murderous State.  In fact, the faithful were told to abandon their bishops and parishes and join the State Church.

AFTERWARDS:

Where did COVID-19 come from?  China.

FACT 5:

In January of 2019, the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, signed a law that made abortion legal until the 9th month.  In other words, he legalized infanticide.

AFTERWARDS:

The United States became the world-wide epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, and New York is ground zero.

To both the People of God and my brother priests: we need to make reparation for the sins of the Church.

To the People of God: pray MANY rosaries to Mary, Mother of the Church, asking her to convert sinful clergy, to crush the head of Satan, and to purify the Bride of Her Son.
To Priests: Pray Chapter 3 of the Leonine prayers (Exorcism of place or thing) of the Roman Ritual
https://www.lifesitenews.com/images/pdfs/EXORCISMUS.pdf (English is here: https://catholictruth.net/en/archive_NRC.asp?d=20140925P2&a=2).

Pray it often.  Pray it regularly.  Thousands of priests and bishops are doing so across the world."

Not just from China but Italy, home of the Vatican, is amongst the hardest hit.

Home of the idolatry of Pachamama being worshipped at St Peter’s.

  2. David, the Italian Bishops' Conference published a prayer to the idol Pachamama. The Italian Bishops pray to an idol! That's why Italy was among the hardest hit.

Did Fr Carlos read your blog from late March I wonder, 9 or 10 days before he wrote this!?!It pretty much draws the same conclusion you did. In looking back to your 30 March post, I even see you provided the English translation of the Pachamama prayer (which is an abomination!).

Meanwhile our priests continue their plan to remain in hiding, the only contact with us being through the virtual world of the Internet. Our government has said churches can re-open during Level 3 for the likes of weddings and funerals. While churches are open, then, why haven’t our bishops planned to celebrate Mass while maintaining the permitted congregation number for a gathering? They need only to observe the success of some overseas parishes which have demonstrated opening up with permitted small congregations is safe and workable.
With having to wait until just a few days before we move out of Level 4 lockdown to finally realise churches are not about to re-open for Mass – not being informed directly, mind you – I’m starting to wonder when churches WILL be open for Mass. Will Mass be celebrated in NZ even when we get to Level 2? We can but hope and pray.

A lot of people who get thrown under a bus are luckier - they survive.

  5. NZ now has draconian abortion laws like New York, but we have so far been let off lightly by the pandemic compared to New York. Does this mean NZ has some terrible disaster to come?

I've head of a priest here who wants to start daily Mass but awaiting ok from NZ Bishops...

  7. Maybe he should head to the NZCBC secretary's door and bang on it. Oops, I forgot: Bishop Drennan was the NZ Bishops' secretary, wasn't he? Who knows where he is now?
Check it out: +Drennan has been replaced as secretary by the Most Reverend Bishop of Hamilton, Stephen Lowe. So I hope that priest is in the Hamilton Diocese and can make eye-to-eye contact. Not virtual. It doesn't work the same ...

I had wondered why we appear to have been let off lightly, so far. While we probably will be quietly celebrating the month of Our Lady in May, and especially the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on the 13th, I hope our good Mother will plead with her Son to give us more time to offer Him Masses of reparation.

    Sharon Crooks says:

Satan has continued to darken minds and close off hearts and he has been ramping up his attacks significantly these last few years and increasingly it seems that average citizens are choosing sides and embracing more and more of those ideologies we have long since considered satanic as Catholic. If that is happening with ordinary ‘good’ citizens it makes sense that those lukewarm Catholics who are also all around us, are doing likewise. Their Facebook feeds are changing significantly. The one protection we have from Satan and the myriad of ways he wears us down is Our Lord Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. The longer we don’t have recourse to the sacraments, the more exposed we are to being worn down. In discussing how to combat Satan during the times of plagues and ‘aids type of viruses’ and to see right from wrong, the mystic Christina Gallagher shared the following locution (some years back I think, which is all the more remarkable given what Covid is!)
“The only way you will have wisdom to understand is to pray, receive the sacraments, unburden yourself of sin and ask forgiveness from Me.”
These are difficult things to do if the sacraments are taken away and she talks about how they will be taken away and Our Lord Jesus will be forced by our darkened hearts and souls to continue to recede from us. For the sake of weak souls (my own included) we should be really asking the Bishops to reconsider their stance in light of how Satan works and is working and in light of how weak and exposed we actually are right now to his wiles to inch us slowly and deceptively from our usual devotions that spur us more fervently onward towards Jesus’ Eucharistic Heart.

    And what is your point?

    I say:

Did my post not make it clear? I'm sorry; allow me to explain further. Covid-19 is God's chastisement for sin. Abortion. Infanticide. Idolatry in the Vatican, and by the Italian bishops. Same-sex 'marriage'. Betrayal of the underground Catholic Church in China, by the Vatican itself. I could go on, but you get my drift.

Then it's a pretty pathetic chastisement.

  12. Jeanette Hancock says:

The faithful have been waiting since Christ returned to the Father. Anyone who suggests a time frame, even vaguely, is spouting nonsense, Christ made it clear, no one knows the time nor the place.
Frankly, anyone who talks about chastisement is just another person talking without authority.
Be prepared, yes, but it will come like a thief in the night, and Covid isn't exactly sneaky.

  13. I say:

Christ said, to the women of Jerusalem, "weep not for Me but for yourselves and for your children". The Jews' chastisement started just 70 years after Christ with the sacking of Jerusalem and it continues till this day.

AGREE. Idolatory Sexual Sins Murder and withholding just wages for the poor are the cause of this plague as well as DESCECRATION OF JESUS IN COMMUNION.
This is the fist time in history we have had 2 Popes also the first time we've had no public Masses.
There's more to follow. Abortion is Murder. America has killed 60,000,000 babies. New Zealand has murdered 100s X 1000s since it was legalised. This Virus and our Churches closing is a Chastisement from Almighty God. Unless we change there is more to follow.
