CAN PN DIOCESE NOW EXPECT HOMILIES ON PEDERASTS AND PEDOPHILES?

The Church of Palmerston North needs to understand homosexuals and people who feel biologically trapped in the wrong body.

And, "theology needs to get in line with science" - Bishop Charles Drennan.

Last Sunday, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Palmerston North, when the Gospel told of Christ testifying to his mission as Saviour to the Gentiles in the synagogue, Bishop Charles Drennan testified, in a homily about World Youth Day in Panama, to a lack of understanding in the Catholic Church about homosexuality and people who feel "biologically trapped"  in the wrong body.

He drew the analogy of prophets not being accepted by their own people in their time with misunderstanding of the homosexual cause among Catholics today.

So let's try to get our simple, lay persons' heads around the homosexual cause, in relation to us as Catholics today.

Homosexuals describe themselves as 'LGBT', which stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender . The term 'LGBT' was disgracefully and sneakily introduced into the synodal document for WYD, not by young people in a pre-synodal document as claimed by Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, but was added to the working document Instrumentum Laboris by someone working in the Vatican.

This is the first time in the 2000+ year history of the Church that she has officially signalled the existence of a class of humans other than as "God made them, male and female" - and atheists, neo-Marxists and others who push the transgender barrow all around the world, and inside the Church, were delighted.

Some in that cathedral congregation last Sunday might have waited for +Drennan's explanation of the "science" that "theology has to get in line with". If so, they were disappointed. I suppose that's because science cannot explain the term LGBT. There's no reason for it in science.

Or in faith, or in reason. As Faith and Reason Institute president Robert Royal says, this is B- sociology, "where you start with the terminology that's out there and it makes it very difficult, when you start playing on the other guy's field, to score on Catholicism. You're playing their game. It's an away game that you're playing."

Dr Gerard van den Aardverg, a Dutch psychologist who's been warning of the dangers of normalizing homosexuality for much of his distinguished 50-year career, says that "considering the apparent attempts within the Church to sell the falsehoods of the gay ideology, it may well be that this (introduction of LGBT into a Vatican document) is an intentional move. In that case, it is sneaky and immoral."

Its inclusion in a Vatican document,  says van den Aardverg, "silently but efficiently deceives ignorant and naïve young people, suggesting that homosexual, lesbian, bisexual or transsexual are natural variants of sexuality and must be accepted as such". Because young people haven't been more than superficially educated in Catholic truth and doctrine, he adds, they are very susceptible to nice-sounding ideologies. So, apparently, is our bishop.

Van den Aardverg adds that "youngsters with same-sex problems are given the green light to give themselves over to the self-degrading lifestyle which is the way to their emotional and moral undoing; and youngsters without these problems are taught to see sexuality as relative: your feelings decide what is right and wrong.

"40% of men with homosexual desires are  more or less directed to adolescents and have 'pederast' tendencies. Pedophiles, who are directed to pre-pubertal boys, may occasionally contact adolescents as well.  … So if 'the Vatican' is out to normalize LGBT, it also normalizes pedophiles and pederasts.

"If the Vatican wants to use the gay letters, let it then add two 'P's: the P of Pederasts and the P of Pedophiles. Let it be LGBTPP."

So if Bishop Charles Drennan of the Palmerston North Diocese really wants to sell "the falsehoods of the gay ideology" to his people, especially the young people he led to Panama WYD, he could start preaching on LGBTPP.

I dare him.

Anon says:

There were some very upset parishioners there on Sunday. The gay war is coming to PN diocese. This will be ugly. I pray that Catholicism wins.

Moi: Catholicism will certainly win. "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph!" (Our Lady of Fatima).

A second anonymous comment:

I am appalled about Charles Drennan's views and sermon. Your piece is faithful to tradition.

Where is the Church heading? If the LGBT was inserted in the Vatican, can we trust 'Rome" any longer. I don't.

I now trust only in the intangible Church, perfect, unsullied. Like the vision of St John in the Apocalypse. "I John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband'. That is how I see the real Church we belong to, not worthily, but by grace.

And all the corrupt churchmen in RC are nothing to do with THAT Church.

But there are so many holy priests living and working for the worship of God, and the salvation of souls, in the tangible body of the Church. What misery for them. You know those local priests in that position. And the huge majority of SSPX priests, sidelined by a political exclusion. I am so grateful to them.

 P S:

The failure of diocesan priests to participate in the March for Life is a telling point against the NO (Novus Ordo) church.

Moi: Yes, I do know "those local priests in that position". And no, "The corrupt churchmen" have nothing to do with the Bride of Christ, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church because, it would seem to me as a lay person, as apostates, heretics and/or schismatics such priests and bishops have surely incurred excommunication latae sentitiae.

And a third 'anon' says:

I was left wondering if in the hysteria of Papa-Panama-mania, Bishop Charles finally lost his way and is now hell-bent on bringing fire and brimstone back home, and down on our beloved diocese.  The men of Sodom tried knocking the door of Lot’s dwelling down to reach the two angels staying with him, demonstrating the strength of their biological urges.

Buying into ‘sodomy’ via a soft discourse of compassion hardly constitutes laying before his flock a salvific path for souls.  At a minimum you would expect some mention of the Lord’s institution of the Sacraments, and instruction on how they work to overcome evil; how great the gift of chastity when offered to our Lord; and, how tender our Lord in return who never asks of us more than we can tolerate.

Soft approaches to ‘biological urges’, in no way constitutes ‘being merciful’ when the salvation of a soul is at stake.   The raw Truth and nothing less is needed;that is ‘being merciful’.

Homosexuality is anti-Catholic precisely because, like abortion, it is anti-creation – the work of the devil.  This has also now led to a normalising of another evil.  We have procreating fems like Anika Moa, vetting for ‘quality’ sperm donors.

This too not only smacks of denial of ‘union’ and procreation, but puts these women on the same page as Lot’s daughters, who raped their father for his ‘seed’ for no other reason than selfish gain.

One would hope that between now and his next homily, our Bishop might reacquaint himself with Genesis, fathom ‘Truth’, stand firm in his Catholic faith, and not put any more souls in jeopardy, least he too is aiming to stir the wrath of God and have fire and brimstone burn up his diocese.
