Rosemary McLeod (April 26) asserts that
"members of his church still take as fact that homosexuality is sinful". If
that's the case, they are mistaken. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that
homosexuality is sinful. What it does say (for instance in Romans 1, 32) is that
homosexual acts are sinful.
It’s not as if the Bible singles out
homosexual acts. It also condemns fornication and adultery, in fact any sexual
act outside marriage.
And I need hardly add that the Bible
takes it for granted that marriage is only between a man and a
woman.
