Thank God, I say advisedly, for Sue Reid’s hard-gained experience and
wisdom on the subject of euthanasia (Euthanasia has a proven ‘slippery
slope, Feb 18), which confirms the Christian view of suffering: accepted
with love and courage, it makes us more like Christ. That’s why the heroic
French saint Therese of Lisieux stated that ‘we are here to suffer’.
