'BUSSY' BEN DOYLE QUITS: GOT 'EM!

'They' say 'their' child asked him to

Butter wouldn't melt in Benjamin "Bussy" Doyle's mouth. Still! Not even now that he's suddenly resigned from Parliament. "I've been on a journey of healing," he says, and 'their' whanau is "the most precious thing in the world". Yeah, right. His Green Party co-leader Chloe Swarbrick - who handed Doyle the Early Childhood portfolio and told the media critics were "over-simplifying" the explicit sexual text he posted with a pic of his own child - fancies herself as leader of the Opposition. How do we feel about her in that role?

The Greens are experts by now at tarting up their disastrous MPs' exits, on grounds such as shop-lifting and migrant exploitation - and Marxist liars as they are, prove they're equal to dealing with paedophilia in the ranks. One has to wonder whether the FBI setting up shop in Welly might have something to do with Doyle's long overdue departure - and what sort of spin his socialist accomplices in the legacy media will put on it.

So, Maiki Sherman at TvOne SPEWS tonight was almost in tears. She informed New Zealand that the police are investigating - not Doyle, but the threats made against 'them'.  We expect to see charges soon laid against Brian Tamaki, a prominent Christian, rather than other sleuths on X who dug up the dirt on Doyle and his Bussy Galore Instagram account.  Green Party sources say fresh information was presented to them which made his position in the party untenable.

It's simply grotesque. A (state-funded), un-elected Member of Parliament very reasonably suspected of unspeakable crimes against children turns himself into a victim of hurty words and our state-funded media fall over themselves to make him feel better.

"Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter" (Isaiah 5,20).

Green Party sources say fresh information was presented to them which made Doyle's position in the party untenable.

 From Matua Kahurangi:

Green MP Benjamin “Bussy” Doyle has finally resigned, but only after months of mounting outrage over his shocking and inappropriate social media behaviour.

Just last week, Doyle was posting videos of himself swinging on a playground swing, seemingly attempting to appeal to children. In anyone’s view, this should have kept him at least 50 metres away from any playground in the country.

This is far more than just poor judgement. Doyle’s social media history includes disturbing paedophilic symbolism and images of himself kissing children on the lips. These are not mere lapses in taste. They are behaviours that should have immediately ended any claim he had to public office. Doyle clung to his parliamentary seat, defending his posts with an air of political naivety, even as alarm and disgust grew across the country.

Those on X who relentlessly exposed his posts deserve full recognition. Their vigilance shone a light on behaviour that is not just inappropriate, but deeply troubling and potentially dangerous.

Without their scrutiny, a man who repeatedly blurred the line between adult behaviour and predatory signals might have remained in a position of public trust, endangering both the public and the integrity of Parliament.

Doyle’s resignation is overdue. It should have happened months ago. His actions are a reminder that holding public office is not a right. It is a privilege that comes with responsibility and accountability. The trust of the community is sacred, and when a politician demonstrates such a shocking lack of judgement and moral compass, decisive action is essential.

This case also demonstrates the power of public oversight. Social media scrutiny, combined with collective outrage, forced a man whose behaviour was wholly incompatible with the responsibilities of office to step down. Benjamin Doyle may have vacated Parliament, but his social media record remains a stark warning.

Elected officials are accountable, and there are limits to what society will tolerate. Matua Kahurangi <matua@substack.com>

Got 'em

From NZ Herald:

Green Party MP Benjamin Doyle is leaving Parliament, in a sudden resignation months after saying they refused to be “disappeared by hate” and did not consider standing down amid questions over their social media posts.

In a Friday afternoon statement, Doyle, who uses they/them pronouns, said in recent months; “I have been on a journey of healing”.

“During this time, I have come to the realisation that I cannot complete this journey while in Parliament.

“After having baseless and violent accusations thrown at me, and an onslaught of hate, vitriol and threats of real-world violence directed at me and my whānau, I have decided to move on from Parliament.”

Doyle said their whānau is the “most precious thing in the world”.

“From the start, I have always said my child is my priority. My tamati asked me to leave Parliament, and I am leaving for them and for my own wellbeing.

I leave Parliament with pride, and that is something nobody can take away from me. It was a pleasure and a privilege to represent and work for the communities that carried me here. I am so grateful for their trust and guidance.

“I am leaving Parliament, I am not disappearing. I will continue to fight for people and planet, just not from inside this House.

“Our politics, our democracy and our Parliament should be a place for everyone. My time here has shown that we clearly still have work to do. I hope this experience is something that we can all learn and grow from.”

It is more upheaval for the political party that has this term experienced the scandalous departure of two MPs – Golriz Ghahraman and Darleen Tana – and the death of Efeso Collins.

Doyle replaced Tana in Parliament last year following her prolonged exit.

Next on the Greens’ list is Ilam’s Mike Davidson - a former Christchurch city councillor. He came fourth in the electorate at the 2023 election.

Doyle is expected to leave Parliament on October 3.https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/green-mp-benjamin-doyle-resigns-in-u-turn-on-previous-desire-to-stay-in-parliament/5TCRCRLIVZBHVA5

  2. Good riddance, he should be publicly naked in shame at his sins to the children yet a resignation is easy, does anyone remember when Greek politicians would be executed after 3 years if they didn't serve the people correctly?

This thing, can't call him a man, deserves to be locked up with and never see the light of day again. He's a kiddy fiddler and hopefully finds himself in prison with Mongrel Mob and Black Power using him like he did with babies
