‘Canto fermo’ is the term for an existing melody used as the basis for a new composition.
The prose and poetry of mystics like John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila and Edith Stein – all informed by the Gospel – is my ‘melody’. The ‘new composition’ is this blog and my indie novel ‘The Age for Love’. To buy my book go to amazon.com or smashwords.com and download to your kindle, iPad, phone or any reading device.

SCHOOL SHOOTING AT MASS; + LEO'S ALTAR GIRLS
To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or x. Protestants please note, your comments are welcome but anti-Catholic rants are not be posted on this page.
Watch the Democrats and MSM give this a good leaving alone
Two children have been shot dead at Mass and another 20 children injured, at Annunciation School in Minneapolis US, by transgender Robert Westman. His mother Mary Grace Westman, who worked at a Catholic school, had petitioned the court to 'change' Robert's sex at age 17.
Only 1% of people identify as transgender, but they make up 27% of school shooters in the US. Many mass shootings happen at Christian schools, implying that this phenomenon is influenced by the demonic - helped along perhaps, by Catholic clergy like Fr Ronald Rolheiser OMI, who told priests and bishops on retreat that repression of sexual desire can lead to mass shootings, so “sometimes masturbation’s the better option.” The bishops seemed quite comfy with this heterodox notion.
Orthodoxy insists that our sex is given by God and not to be swapped for another. Each sex has peculiar characteristics: males can't be mothers, for instance. And females can't be fathers - not just physically fathers, but spiritually Fathers. Which makes our 'Father in Rome' (as the hymn goes), Pope Leo, look bad when he obliterates that difference in altar servers. Read on.
From
altar girls in Rome to Jesuit scandals and bishops blessing sin, the Revolution
of Vatican II continues under Leo XIV’s smile.
Girls at the Altar: Leo’s “Altar Boys”
Leo XIV stood before 360 young altar servers from France and praised their dignity, silence, and “majestic gestures” as leading the faithful into the “sacred greatness of the Mystery.” It all sounds like something Pius X could have said, until you look at the photos. Rows of girls in white capes and cassocks, smiling as the “altar boys” of France.
Articles showed pictures of altar boys. Trad Inc. accounts praised Leo’s words. But the reality is plain: Rome now treats altar girls as if they were altar boys, collapsing centuries of magisterial prohibition into the rubble heap of Vatican II.
The historical record
could not be clearer. Pope Gelasius I condemned women serving at the altar as
an “evil practice.” Innocent IV declared, “Women should not dare to serve at
the altar; they should be altogether refused this ministry.” Benedict XIV renewed
the same prohibition in Allatae sunt, quoting his predecessors verbatim.
Tradition is not ambiguous here: altar service is intrinsically connected to
the clerical state, a stepping-stone to the priesthood, not an accessory role
open to anyone with a white robe.
Yet Leo XIV praises altar
girls as models of “liturgical beauty,” and the so-called defenders of
tradition applaud without objection. If altar service is interchangeable, why
not ordination?
If centuries of papal teaching on the altar can be discarded,
why not centuries of teaching on the priesthood itself? The photo of smiling
girls in Rome is not harmless, it is the logical fruit of the revolution
begun in 1965.
Arrupe’s Cause Stumbles on Jesuit
Abuse
Pope John Paul II blesses +Pedro Arrupe
The Vatican’s
effort to canonize Pedro Arrupe, the Jesuit superior general who steered the
Society through the wreckage of the Council, has slammed into a moral
iceberg. Documents reveal Arrupe knew of serious abuse allegations against a
Jesuit seminarian, Donald Dickerson, but allowed him to be ordained anyway.
The details read like a
case study in clerical corruption. A provincial wrote Arrupe in 1977, warning
that Dickerson had made sexual advances on a 14-year-old boy, one of at least
three accusations. Instead of expelling him, the Jesuits postponed ordination,
sent him to therapy, and ordained him in 1980.
Within a year, he was expelled
from a Dallas Jesuit school for further abuse. He was transferred, accused
again, and finally dismissed in 1986 after at least seven allegations. The
Jesuits paid him $10,000 and sent him to an abuser treatment facility.
This is the man Rome
wants to beatify, the architect of the Jesuit aggiornamento, the champion of
liberation theology, and now a proven enabler of abuse.
The scandal is not an
exception but a revelation: Vatican II’s heroes were not saints of renewal
but managers of decline, complicit in the very crisis they pretended to heal.
The push to canonize Arrupe exposes the entire postconciliar strategy:
canonize the revolution by canonizing its ringleaders.
SSPX Erased from the Jubilee
One of the
largest pilgrimages of the Jubilee so far, 8,000 faithful of the Society of
St. Pius X, was erased from the Vatican’s official Jubilee website. The SSPX
had been listed briefly, then scrubbed without explanation, while pro-LGBT
groups remain featured.
The hypocrisy is
stunning. Rino Fisichella, overseeing the Jubilee, declared, “We include all
those who ask us to experience faith.” All, except those attached to the Mass
of Ages.
The double standard could not be plainer: Rome includes “Jonathan’s
Tent,” a pro-LGBT movement, while excluding thousands of Catholics who came
to Rome to pray at the basilicas, fulfill the Jubilee conditions, and even,
ironically, to pray for the Pope.
The SSPX represents
continuity with Catholic tradition, which must be hidden from sight lest it
embarrass the aggiornamento. Yet the irony is inescapable: the same Rome that
claims “synodality” and “walking together” excludes the very pilgrims most
faithful to tradition. In the Jubilee of supposed mercy, there is no mercy for
Tradition.
The USCCB and Open Borders
In America, the bishops
continue their well-funded crusade to baptize globalism. Their latest letter to
HHS demanded that illegal immigrants be guaranteed public health benefits paid
for by American taxpayers. Their justification? The “equal dignity” of every
person.
Of course, Catholic
teaching has always recognized human dignity, but also the duty of rulers to
uphold law and protect the common good. Augustine warned that a state without
justice becomes nothing but a “band of robbers.”
Aquinas taught that laws exist
to preserve peace and order, and that foreigners have duties toward the host
nation. None of this matters to the USCCB, who habitually reduce Catholic
social teaching to sentimental platitudes about welcome and care, ignoring the
balance of justice and the common good.
Why? Follow the money. The
bishops have long profited from billions in government contracts tied to
immigration programs. Their “pastoral concern” aligns perfectly with their
financial incentives. They invoke dignity, but they cash checks. They preach mercy,
but only with other people’s money. Their practical theology is less Augustine
and Aquinas, more Judas counting the silver.
AUSCP Heresy Retreat
The deepest scandal of the
week came from within the priesthood itself. A leaked audio recording from the
Association of U.S. Catholic Priests revealed Fr. Ronald Rolheiser, retreat
leader and theology professor, teaching priests that masturbation is not
sinful, fornication is rarely mortal, and Communion in mortal sin is
permissible if “sincerely desired.”
+Rolheiser featured regularly in NZ Catholic for years. The liberal, modernist influence he exerted on the Church in New Zealand, particularly on priests and bishops, has long been apparent.
This is open heresy. One
priest even described masturbation as a “prayer.” Rolheiser agreed. He
suggested repression of sexual desire can lead to mass shootings, so “sometimes
masturbation’s the better option.” He dismissed fornication as “basically irresponsibility,”
claiming young people are “invincibly ignorant.” And he assured priests that
receiving Communion in grave sin is not a problem if the person “wants it.”
Two bishops were present:
John Wester of Santa Fe and John Stowe of Lexington. Neither corrected him.
Both have long been aligned with the AUSCP. Other supporters include Cupich,
McElroy, and Gregory, the very bishops shaping American Catholicism.
What this means is
chilling: priests are being formed in heresy with episcopal approval. The AUSCP
is not fringe; it is the future of the institutional Church in the U.S. As
Michael Hichborn of Lepanto Institute rightly said, these teachings will damn
souls. But in the Vatican II Church, damnation is just another “pastoral
approach.”
Conclusion: The True Mystery
Leo XIV extols the “sacred
greatness of the Mystery.” But the mystery unveiled this week is not the Cross,
it is the internal corruption of the postconciliar Church.
Girls at the altar against
centuries of papal prohibitions. A Jesuit superior general who ignored abuse
now queued up for beatification. 8,000 faithful pilgrims erased from Jubilee
records while LGBT groups are promoted. Bishops lobbying for open borders while
lining their pockets with federal funds. Priests openly condoning grave sin
under episcopal applause.
The true “mystery” is how
this Church can claim continuity with Catholic tradition while contradicting it
at every turn. But for those with eyes to see, it is no mystery at all. It is
the revolution of Vatican II, still advancing under the banner of hope, still
praised by Trad Inc, still leading souls away from the Faith.
SSPX pilgrims throng St Peter's Basilica
Pope St Pius X, please pray for the Church and for the world
Apologies for the lengthy post. This struck a nerve and I need a healthy way to vent my frustrations, disgust, and disappointments. Indeed when certain clergy or prelates muddy the waters by not teaching clear orthodoxy as contained in the Deposit of Faith, in my humble estimation have at least some culpability when these types of horrendously demonic events occur. As noted by the OP, allowing for female Altar boys, and Fr. Rolheiser OMI making his statement on self abuse against the 6th Commandment are obviously confusing those whom may already be in a substantially mentally ill/unstable mindset and/or poorly if even catechized at all. One may not commit a mortal sin in place of another. Additionally here in North America, clergy such as ‘Fr.’ James Martin, and prelates such as ‘His/Their Eminence(s) Cardinal(s)’ Tobin, Gregory, & Cupich to name a few do nothing to stop these heretical ideas from being spread, nor corrected, much less censure, excommunicate or laicize those guilty of promulgating these lies. Let us continue to pray for His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to take swift action to clean up this mess that he has inherited. May the Triumph of the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart come soon!
If there is anything sinful about the NO, it isn't our fault. We are only sheep following our shepherds. They are ordained to give us the Sacraments. That doesn't change.
Thomas Ferris but God requires us to discern shepherds from wolves in sheep's clothing, For the good of our soul we should seek out faithful priests in the Traditional Latin Mass.
ReplyDeleteOnce again. A dialogue of division. Praying for you Julia.
DeleteMario Alongi Jr thank you for your prayers.
