COALITION COMMIES UNDER NZ'S BED

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X.

It's staring us in the face, folks. Globalism is the new Communism and the supposedly right-wing Luxon-led Coalition Government of New Zealand is shaping up nicely as its suitably conformist, submissive Ardern-trained fellow-travellers.

We've just passed May Day, which began as International Workers' Day in 1886 when 300,000 American workers walked off the job in protest at long working hours and capitalism. May Day was glorified by the Soviet Union as exaltation of communism and its military might. In 1955 Pope Pius XII made May Day the feast of St Joseph the Workman, so that the Christian understanding of work would not be lost. But in pagan New Zealand, after generations of socialist indoctrination in education and the mainstream media, and appalling apathy in NZ's Catholic Bishops, lost it certainly is.

Not only the value of work is lost, but equality before the law and property rights are now threatened. Separatism is surging and parliamentary sovereignty is at risk. It's the stuff of revolutions - which were ever the tool for overturning democracies like New Zealand's and converting countries to communism. Only now it's not just countries, it's the whole globe.

New Zealanders who long to see our country recover from the Labour Government’s devastation (2017-2023) and once again become a beacon of innovation and achievement have been heartened by National’s current goals: getting the books back in the black, restoring international relations, and refocusing education so that children learn to read, write and do arithmetic.

Unfortunately, some recent developments suggest a continuing of Labour’s anti-democratic agenda, as epitomised by the He Puapua manifesto. And the previous National Government is not innocent either.

While dyed-in-the-wool blue supporters may not want to admit it, many separatist, anti-democratic policies were put in place by former Prime Minister John Key and his Attorney-General Chris Finlayson— “a very clever lawyer”.

Among the most glaring examples of apartheid policies from their nine-year tenure were:

  • Entering into coalition with the separatist Māori Party, despite not needing to.

  • Imposing the Independent Māori Statutory Board (IMSB) on Aucklanders as part of the 2009 Super City structure—an unaccountable tribal entity that is a significant financial burden on ratepayers and a huge influence on Council operations.

  • Removing Crown ownership of the entire coastline and territorial seabed, making it available for Māori tribal and hapu claims—at immense taxpayer expense.

    • Allowing the Māori Party co-leader to secretly sign New Zealand up to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) —a move that even Labour Prime Minister Helen Clark had rejected as inappropriate for New Zealand.

    • Embedding the concept of co-governance into Treaty settlements, resulting in damaging or costly race-based governance structures such as the 2014 Tūpuna Maunga Authority (TMA), the 2014 Te Urewera Act, and the 2010 Waikato River Settlement Act.

    • Securing Finlayson’s future career as a tribal litigator taking advantage of the loose legislation he enacted while in Parliament.

Since Labour’s ousting in 2023, the National-led coalition government has been fronted by a John Key protégé—Chris Luxon—and includes another “very clever lawyer,” Minister Tama Potaka, a former Māori Party member parachuted into the National Party via the 2022 Hamilton West by-election and quickly elevated to Cabinet.

It was deeply concerning that Prime Minister Luxon said he didn’t like anything about the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill 2025—a bill designed to secure parliamentary sovereignty, citizen equality, and property rights. Even more alarming, he ruled out allowing New Zealanders to vote on these critical constitutional matters.

Adding to the disquiet is National’s continued separatist trajectory—seemingly driven by Minister Potaka, whose key portfolios include Māori Development, Whānau Ora, Conservation, and Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti. National’s and Minister Potaka’s recent record includes:

    • Failing to stop activist judges from misapplying the 2011 Marine and Coastal Area Act.

    • Failing to halt Ngāi Tahu’s legal claim for control over South Island freshwater.

    • Supporting the Department of Conservation’s plans for ‘Modernising Conservation Land Management’, which prioritise race-based entitlements, ideologies and business opportunities—embedding discrimination and division by way of new legislation.

    • Endorsing Te Kawerau ā Maki’s draft Deed of Acknowledgement, which would give the tribe co-governance rights—potentially even a majority—over the extensive Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area, encompassing public land, resources, and the coast. A similar deal with Ngāti Whātua for the rest of Auckland is already in the pipeline.

    • Failing to stop the systemic imposition of Māoritanga, tikanga (variable and often contested Māori customs and values), and the dramatically expanded Māori language—across education (including for foreign students), the public service, and civic life.

    • Supporting the creation of a new parliamentary committee, led by Labour’s Adrian Rurawhe, to formally integrate tikanga Māori into parliamentary procedure.

Yet should we be surprised? Potaka may avoid scrutiny and deflect responsibility for his actions, but his intentions have been clear for years.

He has stated that National would be even more committed to “working alongside Māori”—but in ways that avoid “a centralised bureaucracy.” Regarding Māori–Crown relations, he supports state devolution, more “partnerships,” and believes Māori are entitled to “self-determination.” (Stuff, 12/4/23)

Te Pati Maori co-leader, Rawiri Waititi

During his time at Victoria University, Potaka also authored a radical, apartheid-style paper declaring:

"More important... is the... greater control and power over resources for Māori… That action means a Treaty-driven legislative agendum focused on requiring local government authorities to comply with the Treaty in all their activities... Central government and local government need to consider sharing power with Māori, instead of hoping that Māori entitlements and demands will be satisfied with policies that effectively mainstream Māori into Pākehā society. Anything less than an increase in power for Māori would signal yet another failure in respecting the Treaty.” — ((1999) 29 VUWLR)

Constitutional Overthrow

The National Party’s actions speak far louder than its election slogans. New Zealanders must focus on those actions and hold the Party and the Coalition Government to account right now and at the 2026 election—if we want to live in a first world country.

Under MMP, we must cast our votes only for parties that can produce real evidence of a commitment to Western democratic values—not the creeping tribal autocracy now suffocating public life and institutions.

And in the meantime, we have the Local Body elections coming up in October this year. Remember, anarchists never sleep, and Minister Potaka has made his anti-democratic intentions for local government very clear. https://www.bassettbrashandhide.com/post/fiona-mackenzie-is-national-the-red-under-the-bed?utm_campaign=4f8f6b8d-65db-4

VIGANO ON CONCLAVE: NO POPE, NEW CHURCH

To comment please open your gmail account or use my email address, FB Messenger or X. Protestant rants are not posted on this page except to elucidate Catholic doctrine.

Love or loathe the Roman Catholic Church, you have to admit that when it comes to a papal conclave it's unrivalled for intrigue, politicking, blackmailing and general finagling. Especially when 108 of the 135 cardinal electors were appointed by an antipope, and are therefore invalid and so arguably not able to elect any man to the Chair of Peter - because as elected illegally himself, Jorge Mario Bergoglio can have no successor.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, excommunicated by Francis after blowing the whistle on the COVID global coup against humanity, the Argentinian's Marxist, WEF leanings and secret deal with China (and seen by many defenders of the Catholic faith as their papabile), believes this is to be the case. +Vigano sees this conclave as completing the task assigned to it, of transforming the Church of Christ into the New World Order Church of Nice - ecumenical, syncretistic and Masonic.

Oh, but where does that leave the Church founded by Christ Himself, with His guarantee that "the gates of hell will never prevail against it"? Fret not. There's such a thing as "Ecclesia Supplet". Meaning "the Church supplies", Canon 144 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law lists several situations where the “Church would supply” for a missing or defective necessary executive power of governance.” It's a concept tricky enough to try any canon lawyer, but faithful Catholics may always rely on Christ's promise and Holy Mother Church.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò is doubling down on his belief that the upcoming conclave is invalid due to irregularities with its members.

“At most, the College will be able to designate its own representative, someone who will renew and continue the usurpation of the recently deceased predecessor, and see the ongoing fraud further ratified by a complicit or cowardly episcopate,” His Excellency told Italian journalist Francesco Borgonovo this week.

Following Francis’ death, Archbishop Viganò has spoken out on a number of topics, not only about Francis’ legacy, which he has described as a “usurpation” of the Throne of St. Peter, but also about the upcoming meeting of the cardinals, which is set to kick off on May 7.

In an April 23 letter sent to an Italian television program, His Excellency commented that due to “Bergoglio’s acceptance of the Papacy [being] flawed,” the clergy he has named cardinals are “false.”

“Of the 136 Cardinal electors, 108 were ‘created’ by [Bergoglio]; which means that whatever Pope is elected in the upcoming Conclave – even if he were a new Saint Pius X – his authority will be compromised by having been elected by false cardinals, created by a false Pope,” His Excellency said.

Archbishop Viganò re-iterated that position in his interview with Borgonovo.

“A College of Cardinals composed of 108 ‘cardinals’ created by a Jesuit who usurped the Papacy for twelve years cannot validly elect a legitimate pope,” he stated.

His Excellency made other striking remarks, including pushing back against the election of a “conservative” candidate.

Cardinal Parolin - NOT a conservative as he touts himself

“A moderately conservative ‘pope’ … could be effective to administer a palliative cure to contain the devastating effects of the disease that strikes the Catholic Church, rather than a radical treatment that removes its causes. But such a moderate treatment has already been tried and did not work,” he added.

Archbishop Viganò’s perspective on the conclave has won the support of renowned Catholic philosopher Dr. Josef Seifert.

In an open letter published this week, Dr. Seifert called on Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the dean of the College of Cardinals, to launch an official investigation into the many accusations of heresy against Francis before the start of the next conclave to determine which cardinals should be allowed to participate.

“If the accusation of heresy prior to Pope Francis’s election, during and after it, proves to be correct, two thirds of the present college of Cardinals would be excluded from entering the Conclave,” Seifert said.

Seifert’s support for Archbishop Viganò’s position is significant, as he was not only an intimate friend of Pope John Paul II but also a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. He has also held a number of prominent positions at prestigious Catholic institutions during his lengthy career. He was scandalously not re-appointed to his post at the academy by Francis in 2017, having been replaced with pro-abortionpro-“social justice”, and pro-open borders “theologians.”

ArchbishopViganò amplified Seifer’s letter by sharing it to his X account.

Archbishop Viganò further told Borgonovo that he has little hope now that “power is now in the hands of two very corrupt figures: the Substitute of the Secretariat of State, Edgard Peña Parra – whose crimes I have extensively denounced – and the Cardinal Camerlengo, Kevin Farrell.

He then shared a list of accusations about Farrell, who he said “knows all the accomplices of McCarrick’s crimes and will be able to maneuver the upcoming ‘conclave’ by means of blackmail or promises.”

+Vigano posted his accusations against +Farrell on X:

Irish-born American Cardinal Camerlengo Kevin Farrell

Cardinal Camerlengo Kevin Farrell comes from the Legionaries of Christ, the religious congregation that was at the center of a very serious scandal related to the sexual abuse and crimes of its founder, Father Marcial Maciel.

Farrell was in charge of the management of its enormous financial resources, and naturally he did not notice Maciel's aberrant deviations ...

That is also why he preferred to conceal this dark part of his record with the Legionaries of Christ, and precisely because of these "merits" of his, and his contiguity with Maciel, Farrell was chosen by Theodore McCarrick as his close associate. He made him his own Auxiliary in Washington where he lived for six years in the same apartment as the then Archbishop.

Even then he did not notice anything... McCarrick entrusted him with the financial management of the Papal Foundation founded precisely 1988, when the Vatican was coming out with broken bones from the Marcinkus affair and the Banco Ambrosiano scandal. After only two years, in 1990, the Papal Foundation was raising $215 million: a sizeable sum for the Holy See's disastrous accounts, to buy silences and solicit promotions.

This fund-raising ability of McCarrick earned him untouchability by the Vatican since the time of John Paul II. In 2007 Farrell is promoted to the Dallas See; in 2016 he is transferred to Rome, as prefect of the super-dicastery for the laity, family and life; in 2019 he is appointed Camerlengo of Holy Roman Church, despite his notorious addiction to alcohol.

Farrell knows all the accomplices in McCarrick's crimes and can maneuver the Conclave through blackmail or promises.

His absolute unworthiness and the scandal he represents - especially for McCarrick's victims and for American Catholics - must be denounced so as to induce him to renounce his prerogatives as Camerlengo and as an electing member of the Conclave, following the example of the Cardinal of Edinburgh, Keith O'Brien, who after denouncing his unworthiness voluntarily withdrew from the 2013 Conclave.

His Excellency also told Borgonovo about who it was that excommunicated him.

I was convicted and declared guilty of the canonical crime of schism and punished by excommunication for a non-crime by an illegitimate tribunal, on the mandate of an illegitimate ‘pope,’” he said. The excommunication “was imposed on me by a heretic pornographer, Tucho Fernández, appointed by Bergoglio to demolish the former Holy Office.”

Archbishop Viganò also revealed that “on the very day of my seventy-fifth birthday, while still living in Washington as Apostolic Nuncio, Bergoglio ordered my expulsion from my Vatican apartment, which John Paul II had ordered me to have for the rest of my life, and also ordered me to be excluded from the residence for retired nuncios in Rome, the Casa San Benedetto.

He added that, “Bergoglio revoked my Vatican citizenship, my Vatican passport, and my Vatican driver’s license which enabled me to move about independently.”

His Excellency further stated that Francis had a devastating impact on the Church and papacy.

“Bergoglio did not need to change doctrine: he instead managed to make it irrelevant and negligible, creating a certain liquid inclusiveness without dogmas and without ideals … he made sure that after him no Pope could obtain from Catholics that obedience that he made hateful, because it was extorted in order to support heresies and moral deviations.”
