'TRUMP ANOINTED BY JESUS TO CAUSE ARMAGEDDON'

While Catholics wait for the Antichrist and argue about bishops for the SSPX, and Jews wait for the Messiah, claiming Israel as their own, what turns up instead is Armageddon.  World War III is here, brought to you by the great deceiver himself. Satan.

Who else could inspire Donald Trump to say, about his war against Iran, "We did it. You could say we did it out of habit. Which is not a good thing to do." He'd got into the habit of winning wars, and it went to his head. You could call that hubris. And now with the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed and oil markets convulsing, he's about to experience the fall that follows after pride. His insiders have cold feet and US allies have nightmares.

America is gripped by the oxymoronic delusion of Christian Zionism. “President Trump", an army commander has told his men, "has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.” Trump's Senior Faith Advisor, Paula White, a millionaire, preaches 'money for blessings,' fights demons, casts out Satan, and prays for the miscarriage of 'satanic pregnancies'. She claims that saying 'no' to Trump is saying 'no' to God.

Two things: firstly, Catholics can't support this apocalyptic war. In her wisdom the Church teaches a "just war" doctrine, which requires legitimate authority, proportionality, and a genuine prospect of peace.

Secondly, when the Jews broke their covenant with God, they forfeited the land of Israel. "You shall be taken away from the land which thou shalt go in to possess" (Deut 28:63): The Catholic Church is the new Israel. At Israel's heart is the holiest place on the planet - the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Christ, His death and Resurrection, is at the heart of the battle now waged in the Middle East.

From the always reliable Lifesitenews:

Since the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran began last Saturday, a military religious freedom group reports that they have received over 200 complaints from troops voicing concern over commanders telling them enthusiastically that the war with Iran is “biblically sanctioned” and putting forth Zionist justifications for the military intervention.

The reports stem from Military Religious Freedom Foundation president Mikey Weinstein. Weinstein is an anti-Trumper and seems to push for freedom from religion rather than freedom of religion, so his organization should be regarded with suspicion. Yet his group is a long-established 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and when active-duty troops say their commanders are pushing Zionist theology during official briefings, those complaints deserve to be examined.

Weinstein’s website says, as of this writing, “MRFF has received over 200 calls from more than 50 military installations across all the services since Saturday reporting similar disturbing pronouncements from their Christian zealot commanders.”

The MRFF website links to a Substack report by former CNN and MSNBC journalist Jonathan Larson, who notes Weinstein’s foundation has been “literally inundated with desperate calls for help.” He says the common thread is “the unrestricted euphoria of their commanders and command chains” who are telling service members that this war is a “biblically sanctioned” sign of the Zionist “End Times.”

Weinstein highlights commanders who are “especially delighted with how graphic this battle will be” and how “bloody all of this must become in order to fulfill … fundamentalist Christian end-of-the-world eschatology.”

One concrete example arrived in an email to Weinstein from an active-duty service member in a leadership position (name and unit withheld for safety). He writes on behalf of himself and 15 fellow troops — most of them Christian, plus one Jewish and one Muslim service member.

In the combat readiness briefing on March 2, their commander opened by urging everyone “not to be afraid” because the operations in Iran are “all part of God’s divine plan.” He specifically cited multiple passages from the Book of Revelation about Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

According to the service member, the commander stated with a big grin: “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.” The service member describes the message as “toxic and over the line,” saying it destroys morale and unit cohesion and violates the oath to the Constitution.

When LifeSiteNews directly asked the Pentagon about these specific complaints, they responded by directing us to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s March 2 press briefing. In that briefing, officials insisted the entire operation is strictly secular and defensive. Secretary Hegseth stated, “We didn’t start this war, but under President Trump, we are finishing it.”

He added that the mission is “laser-focused: Destroy Iranian offensive missiles, destroy Iranian missile production, destroy their navy and other security infrastructure and they will never have nuclear weapons.” He repeatedly emphasized “no endless wars” and “no nation-building,” saying “this is the opposite.”

Nevertheless, during a 2018 speech in Israel, Secretary Hegseth showed himself to be a convinced Zionist, enthusiastically suggesting that the “miracle of the re-eLifeSiteNews has reported on the influential Chabad-Lubavitch movement — a group President Trump has supported so strongly that his own daughter Ivanka has visited their synagogue.

Some voices in those circles believe Armageddon is necessary, including the destruction of the current structures on the Temple Mount – the Islamic Dome of the Rock – to rebuild the Temple and usher in their awaited Messiah.

A couple of days ago, Christian Zionist pastor John Hagee declared that Israel bombing Iran with the United States is part of biblical prophecy. In a recent sermon, he prayed for the peace of Jerusalem and thanked God for victory over Zion’s enemies:

Shadow of Ezra

Christian Zionist pastor John Hagee says Israel bombing Iran alongside the United States is part of biblical prophecy, which includes plans for Russia in the near future. He begins to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and thanks God for the victory over the enemies of Israel. “We thank you for our President Donald Trump, whose wise courage has crushed the enemies of Zion.”

Traditional Catholics reject the Zionist warmongering that threatens the Christian presence in the Holy Land. The Church’s just war doctrine requires legitimate authority, proportionality, and a genuine prospect of peace.

Let us pray for military members. Pray for the conversion of Jews and Muslims to the one true faith and for true peace in the Middle East and throughout the world – the peace that comes only through Christ the King. https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/hundreds-of-us-troops-claim-commanders-saying-iran-war-is-biblically-san

Self-explanatory

From 'Father Celatus' at the Remnant Newspaper:

As war erupts across the Middle East, many claim the Bible guarantees modern Israel’s right to the land. But does Scripture actually support that claim? A look at the covenants—from Adam to Moses—reveals a forgotten condition: God’s promises were always tied to obedience. If those conditions were broken, what became of the Promised Land?

As we write, missiles and drones and aircraft by the thousands are streaking across the Middle East in an operation called Epic Fury by the United States and Roaring Lion by Israel. We were promised no wars, then a short war, and now only God-and Israel-know how long we will be at war.

Americans are divided whether war with Iran is warranted but there are at least two groups and their supporters that are fully committed to this war: Jewish Zionists and Christian Dispensationalists.

Zionism is a political nationalistic movement that arose in the late 18th century which is committed to the exclusive possession and control of the modern state of Israel by ethnic Jews. Though a majority of these modern ethnic Jews are, in effect, atheists, they base their claims on a religious right to the land of Israel, as promised to Abraham.

Dispensationalists, often evangelical, who support Zionism, heretically believe that once Jews possess Israel, this will bring about the millennial rule of Christ on Earth for 1,000 years.

A covenant is a binding agreement between God and man that includes binding promises, conditions and prescribed consequences.

The religious claims of both Jewish Zionists and Christian Dispensationalists are groundless and reveal either an ignorance of the nature of covenants, as divinely revealed in Sacred Scripture, or manipulation. Let’s do a broad summary of successive covenants in the Bible, then focus on the issue of modern Israel.

A covenant is a binding agreement between God and man that includes binding promises, conditions and prescribed consequences. Some of the biblical covenants were more formal and explicit than others but all of them constitute some form of a covenant. The first covenant was with Adam, and the promise was Paradise here on Earth with a hope for Paradise in Heaven. There was one condition imposed by God:

And God commanded him, saying: “Of every tree of paradise thou shalt eat:  But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat. For in what day soever thou shalt eat of it, thou shalt die the death.”

God was true to his promise, as He always was and always will be. Adam broke the covenant condition by eating the forbidden fruit offered to him by Eve, and both of them supernaturally died in that instant. Paradise on Earth has been lost forever and all the covenant curses have fallen upon humanity ever since.

The Tower of Babel was an act of defiance and rebellion against God. A covenant was broken and so the covenant curses kicked in: humanity was scattered and their language was confused.

The next notable covenant was with Noah, who was a type of new Adam in the sense that God started over with humanity, built upon a remnant that remained. After the flood, an explicit covenant was made:

Increase you and multiply, and go upon the earth, and fill it. Thus said God to Noe, and to his sons with him, Behold I will establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you:  And with every living soul that is with you, as well in all birds as in cattle and beasts of the earth, that are come forth out of the ark, and in all the beasts of the earth.

But over time and through generations, the descendants of Noah became more and more corrupt; they gathered together in a great city, rather than multiplying across the earth, and built a tower to heaven. We know it as the Tower of Babel, an act of defiance and rebellion against God. A covenant was once again broken and so the covenant curses kicked in: humanity was scattered and their language was confused.

Once again God chose a remnant out of the midst of fallen humanity, this time with a man named Abram:

The Lord said to Abram: Go forth out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and out of thy father's house, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and magnify thy name, and thou shalt be blessed.  I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee, and in thee shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:1-3)

Moses warned the descendents of Abraham of countless curses if the covenant were to be broken... God kept His promises.

This is the main Old Testament text that Zionists and Dispensationalists cite as justification for Jews to possess modern Israel, or for that matter, most of the Middle East. But OT covenants did not end here.

For four hundred years the descendants of Abraham lived in Egypt, until the next covenant was offered to Moses. This covenant was very explicit regarding conditions for either blessings or for curses. Just before entering the Promised Land, the Israelites were reminded of the blessings for keeping covenant:

Now if thou wilt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to do and keep all his commandments, which I command thee this day, the Lord thy God will make thee higher than all the nations that are on the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon thee and overtake thee: Yet so if thou hear his precepts.

Moses listed many of these blessings. Moses then warned of countless curses, if the covenant is broken:

But if thou wilt not hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep and to do all his commandments and ceremonies, which I command thee this day, all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee… the Lord will bring upon thee all the diseases, and plagues, that are not written in the volume of this law till he consume thee:  And you shall remain few in number, who before were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God.

And as the Lord rejoiced upon you before doing good to you, and multiplying you: so he shall rejoice destroying and bringing you to nought, so that you shall be taken away from the land which thou shalt go in to possess.

The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the farthest parts of the earth to the ends thereof: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, which both thou art ignorant of and thy fathers, wood and stone.  Neither shalt thou be quiet, even in those nations, nor shall there be any rest for the sole of thy foot. (Deuteronomy 28-29)

Adam forfeited Paradise on Earth and the Jews have forfeited the Land of Israel.
